WPP started working again on my site when I reverted Woocommerce to version 3.5.8.

I just tested it again, and it was working.

Then I upgraded Woocommerce to 3.6.2 again.

Now it no longer appears to be working.

    Woocommerce is the problem.

There was a recent update to Woocommerce that had massive changes, so I thought I would look there first.

Current version of Woocommerce is 3.6.2. I reverted to 3.5.8 and WPP is working again.

Apparently, the current version of Woocommerce (3.6 or greater) is the source of the conflict.

Reverting to an old version of Woo fixes the problem…temporarily. As I have a retail site, I sort of need to keep Woocommerce current. Having WPP also working would be nice.

I hope you can find a fix for this. Thanks for the help!

Turning off Jetpack Site Accelerator made no difference.

I did see that Woocommerce allows me to generate a Rest API key for third-party applications, but I don’t know if that applies here, or what I would do with it.

I’m not using a dedicated caching plugin, as I’ve had problems with them on this site.

I do have Jetpack installed, as my shopping cart system (Woocommerce) seems to require it. As far as I know, Jetpack only caches images.

I’m also using Cloudflare, which I believe has a cache life of 2 hours for the plan I”m using.

Just not sure what, if anything, I need to adjust there.

I’ll try turning off the Jetpack Site Accelerator and see if that helps.

Very strange. I contacted my host, who told me that GD extension was not installed, so the installed it and now it’s working.

But it was working a month ago, so somehow, that extension got uninstalled. Just very strange.

    All good now.

    Thanks!

I thought the check box would apply only to bulk discounts, but it looks like it applies to everything.

I tested this new version, but now it removes the sale price from the product page for ALL discounted products, and not just those eligible for bulk discounts.

I always have one product category on sale, and I would like for my customers to see that those products are discounted.

But for bulk discounts (10% off if you buy 2 items, for example) I thought changing the price of everything in the store once you have one item in your cart might be confusing for buyers.

Perhaps it is best for me to leave the box unchecked. I think it will be less confusing for buyers that way.

The checkbox will be helpful. I may wait until the next release to add this discount rule.

    Thank you for your help.

I think I’ve figured it out.

I added a product filter, selected “product categories” from the dropdown, and added a category, “Items” that includes every item in my store.

I then added a Bulk Rule, chose “Qty based on all matched products” and “Percentage discount.”

I added a range from 2-5 and set the discount to 10.

I was confused earlier when I saw that everything in the store was shown as being on sale, but I realize now that this does not happen until I put a second item in my cart.

If my cart has 0 or 1 item in it, everything in the store is full price.
If I add at least 2 items to my cart, everything shows as being 10% off.

Am I understanding all of this correctly? Is there a simpler way to do this, or did I do it correctly?

Looks like they’re mostly from either SeznamBot or Bingbot.

Guess I won’t worry about it. Thanks!

I just made a sale of one of the products in my store that had been migrated to Woocommerce from the old Shopp cart.

As a result of the sale:

    1. Inventory decremented from 1 item to 0.
    2. Item correctly shows “Out of Stock” on the product page.
    3. Item correctly shows “Out of Stock” on the Woocommerce -> Products page.

Don’t know if it was the bulk edit or the upgrade to Woocommerce 3.5.5 that fixed it, but it seems to be working now.

If I had to wager, I’d guess that it was the bulk edit that solved the problem.

All good now. Thanks for the help.

    Not variable products.

I think the problem may relate to products that I migrated from another shopping cart system.

I just built my Woocommerce site in the past two weeks and migrated 95% of my products from a Shopp system using the paid Cart2Cart service. I’ve since added products to the store directly.

Recently added “test” products decrement properly and show out of stock but the sales causing the problem were sales of products that had been migrated from the old cart.

Perhaps there’s some issue with the migrated products so that they weren’t properly flagged as “do not allow backorders” in the database.

Yesterday, I installed the Woocmmerce Bulk Stock Management plugin. I edited all of my products in bulk to reinforce the “Do not allow backorders” setting.

I also upgraded Woocommerce to the new 3.5.5 version.

I’m hoping that one of those two things will fix the problem, though I’ll need a “real” sale to verify that.

I just added a test product and used my wife’s PayPal account to make a purchase and everything worked correctly, with inventory showing “out of stock” on both the product page and the Woocommerce -> Products page.

I’ll have a “real” sale soon enough and that should tell me if the problem is fixed. I’ll update here with the results of that.

Made a sale this morning; sold three items.
Each item was unique; I had a stock of 1 on each item.

After the sale, the following conditions exist:

    1. All three items are showing as still available for purchase if you view them on the Website as a site visitor.
    2. All three items show “On Backorder” on the Woocommerce -> Products page.
    3. If I go to edit each of these three items, all three show stock quantity of 0 and Allow Backorders is set to “Do Not Allow.”

As I had each item open for editing, I clicked the “Update” button without editing anything.

After the refresh, all three items are now showing as “Out of Stock” on the Woocommerce -> Products page.

I have no idea how I missed that. I checked the “Tools” and “Parameters” links, but somehow failed to notice the cog.

    All good. Thanks!

Actually, I have about 30 categories, (I was testing the cart with just one and that’s what Alex saw) but I only have one on sale at any given time, so the code above will redirect the user to the page for the category of the current sale.

I occasionally have a sale where everything is on sale, and I accomplished that by creating a global category “items” to which every item belongs.

    Thread Starter essmeier

    (@essmeier)

I put in a ticket at the support desk, and Alex came up with a simple solution to save me from changing my URLS every time I changed a sale category.

    Thanks!
