In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product Short Description minimized by defaultThat’s odd; I don’t see how changing something to make my job harder could possibly be an enhancement.
Shouldn’t the user be the one to decide whether or not it should be collapsed?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product Short Description minimized by defaultToday I upgraded to version 7.0.1. With that version not only is the short product description still minimized, but now I cannot select the radio buttons for the product categories. I can click all I want but no category is ever selected
Because of this, I have reverted to version 6.9.4. That version works; I’ll upgrade later after the bugs are worked out.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product Short Description minimized by defaultI am using a storefront child theme. When I switch to the regular storefront theme the problem remains.
Here is a shot of what I’m seeing:

Here is a shot of what I used to see before the recent update:

Yes, I can expand it manually, but I should also be able to leave it always open by default.
Good to see I’m not the only one having this problem. I opened a ticket a few weeks ago about this and was never notified about a reply, so the ticket was closed.
The reply that I didn’t see at the time said:
`This isn’t something we can re-create in our testing and we haven’t had more reports of this yet.
Please try more debugging:
– Can you recreate this on a second site?
– Can you see any change if you disable other plugins on this site?`Glad to know a fix is on the way.

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Failed Order MessageIt’s working well and has good support. I had a failed order recently and a full explanation for why it failed was in the notes column.
That’s all I’ll say about the plugin as we’re hijacking the thread.

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Failed Order MessageI solved my problem by switching to a third party plugin-

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Paypal payments payment failedI’m glad to see I’m not the only one getting frequent “order failed” messages.
I’m having to send out a lot of PayPal invoices these days.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Could Not Process OrderSpecific payment method? I have no idea. I only accept PayPal and credit cards through PayPal.
I’m using the Woocommerce PayPal Payments plugin.
It would be nice if “the payment was declined” or “the payment didn’t go through” was specifically stated somewhere on the order page.
A status of “failed” isn’t very descriptive.
I guess the information that I’m looking for isn’t actually presented anywhere.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Could Not Process OrderYes, there are notes.
They say this:
Could not process order. Order status changed from Pending payment to Failed.
There’s nothing else there. There never is anything else there. That’s all I ever see under “Order Notes.”

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Payments] Unprocessable EntityI do sell only physical products. The error message above came when a customer added a single item to their cart and attempted to pay for it.
I have disconnected and reconnected and did a test order. Everything seems to work properly.
At the moment, it seems to be working.
I have updated to the latest version and yes, the QR code is much larger now.
Thank you.
The update for Shipping and Tax is now available and updating that seems to have fixed the Jetpack problem.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce 4.91 and shortcodesProblem resolved – it was a plugin called Grid/List View for WooCommerce.
That one is supposed to change the number of items that appear in the store, but it was affecting widgets, as well.
Sorry for the trouble.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Endless refund loadingI had this problem yesterday. It was happening with refunds, but it was also happening any time I tried to change the status of an order. It would just time out and eventually give me a “page not found” error.
I used the Health Check plugin to test the site. It has a troubleshooting mode that allows you to turn all plugins off and then turn them back on one at a time – but only for logged in administrators.
For regular site visitors, the site appears normal.
In my case, the conflict was a plugin called Woocommerce Recommendation Engine. I turned it off and the problem went away.
