In reply to: [Fetch Tweets] No result could be fetched. Thanks so much for the prompt response! The issue was that the previous tweet was too old – tweeting again using the specified hashtag worked and the more recent tweets are displayed normally now.

In reply to: [PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry] 1 Pixel Out Audio Player – FireFoxI am having the same problem actually. This plays great on all browsers except for Firefox, which doesn’t work when you click on the “Play” icon:

In reply to: Replacing WP homepage without changing permalinks of blog postsThanks!!
It looks like we have no choice but to change the permalinks right? So if I name the page /blog then all the posts will now have /blog in the URL?
“Enable “Permalinks” to show the “page title” in the address, since /index.php?p=423 defeats the purpose of making a static front page.”

In reply to: upload/insert not working after 2.8 updateProblem plugin seems to be Podpress.
Same here, did you manage to find a fix for it? We’d love to keep using the PodPress plugin as we have a weekly podcast however, it is destroying so many features in WordPress such as the insert/upload button as you noted.

In reply to: cforms 8.6 hangs at “one moment please”This is without a doubt the best contact form plugin. We did come across this issue in many of our sites, though. As many noted before, this issue seems to only exist if your site is in a subdomain. If the suggested fixes in the FAQ don’t work you can easily just disable Ajax for it to work again – we noticed that it really doesn’t make such a huge difference, it redirects you quite quickly to the contact form.

In reply to: WP Super Cache killed my sitemonetized so you can hopefully afford to spend money on it.
We are in the Middle East, most of us do not monetize our blogs here. We use the Internet for human rights, and to practice our right to free speech which is punishable by death where we live. Not to make money.
We are tracking the Revolution in Iran and people come to our site as a primary source for on-the-ground information, this is why we value speed considering where our target audience is located and ever since we have installed this plugin the results have been nothing but disastrous.
I simply wish to find an alternative for people in the nonprofit field and therefore cannot afford to hire assistance. Unfortunately there seems to be none. I appreciate that this plugin is free, it’s just flawed.

In reply to: WP Super Cache killed my siteI think you need to track down the specific problems on your site instead of blaming the plugin.
It was the plugin. You can verify this with a quick search for “WP Super Cache” and blank page or by simply reading the reviews of this plugin on the support forums, the flaws that come with this plugin are frankly undeniable.
It’s great that it’s working for you and the others. You just need to acknowledge the fact that it doesn’t work for just as many people, and in fact causes them serious issues on their blogs.

In reply to: WP Super Cache killed my siteEchoing many other frustrated users of this plugin, it killed our site as well. We didn’t know the source, so we were practically “down” with a blank page for over 30 hours. When we deleted the extremely flawed WP Super Cache plugin everything went up quickly and beautifully. Though we still wanted to speed up the site so we cleared the cache of the plugin, reactivated and it was fine for a few hours, then the dreaded blank page came back again and the site would only appear with a refresh.
I lost serious traffic on 2 blogs because of this abusive plugin.
I’d rather have a slow site than a plugin than having a blank page as often as 3 times a week. Not worth it at all.
This plugin creates unfortunate experiences. Needs serious tweaking, in the meantime I’m on the search for an alternative. If anyone knows an alternative please let us know as we have lost all hope in this plugin and do not think it can be fixed.
I’m having the same problem, despite not upgrading or anything, can someone suggest a fix please?

In reply to: Problem with overwriting WP files after moving to dedicated serverdidnt I say that already?
What I wanted was a confirmation, not a random person bragging about 4 years mucking about with WordPress. Please go answer other threads and put your “useful knowledge” to use.

In reply to: Problem with overwriting WP files after moving to dedicated serverWhooami,
Touché!Jeremy,
Deleting files gave me a permission error, but I guess that confirms the fact that it’s with the server settings and not WP itself. We will try to resolve the issue with MT.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Problem with overwriting WP files after moving to dedicated serverYoure quoting the codex to me ?? Awesome. Ive been a member here for 4 years this November, I know what the codex says.
Whooami, with all due respect, I asked for help, not attitude. I will simply wait for someone respectful to direct me to a solution.
