In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Custom Packages Do Not MigrateFollow Up:
1) I restored my database from prior to the migration so I would be prompted to migrate once again.
2) I installed the latest version of WooCommerce Shipping 1.1.2
3) I installed the latest version of WooCommerce Shipping & Tax 2.8.1
4) I activated WooCommerce Shipping and then click the button to initiate the migration.
5) Migration completed with the following message:
“Your shipping settings and label history have been successfully migrated — enjoy the new WooCommerce Shipping experience.”
Unfortunately, once again, my custom package types created under WooCommerce Shipping & Tax did NOT migrate to the new Saved Templates feature of WooCommerce Shipping.
As is, the migration of custom package types originally created under “WooCommerce > Settings > WooCommerce Shipping > Packaging” does not appear to work as it should. These custom package types do not appear within the new Saved Templates feature after migration.
I’ll test again with future releases if the changelog indicates a potential fix, but it will be critical for this to work correctly for my clients who depend upon the custom packages they created to be there, so I agree with @omarfpg, we’ll stick with WooCommerce Shipping & Tax for now.
Thanks,
Mike

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Custom Packages Do Not MigrateYes, as mentioned in my original post, none of the custom package types I had saved under WooCommerce Shipping & Tax migrated to the new Saved Templates feature of WooCommerce Shipping. They did not migrate to the Saved Templates section of WooCommerce Shipping.
Yes, migration was complete.
There does not appear to be a way to run the migration process again once it has completed. Not that I can find anyway. If there is a way to re-run the migration, I’ll happily attempt it.
That’s okay. I’ll hold off upgrading client sites until this issue is resolved in a future release. Although if there isn’t a way to re-run the migration…I’m not sure how I would know that it’s fixed?
Thanks,
Mike

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Custom Packages Do Not MigrateLOL, the thread you referred me to is … me.
That is a different issue: the migration of shipping history and tracking numbers. As mentioned above and in the previous thread of mine you referred to, that’s working fine.
Keeping support issues separate, this is a new issue:
When preparing a shipment, the custom packages I’d added previously under WooCommerce Shipping & Tax did not migrate to the new WooCommerce Shipping plugin.
Thanks,
Mike

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Migrating Loses Previous Tracking InfoHi André,
I had a chance to upgrade to 1.1.1 today and give it a good run through and, sure enough, the tracking and previous shipment info migrated over just fine this time. Thanks for the update!
I’ve not had an opportunity to test purchasing a label (yet), but I have played with the ability to create/add multiple Origin addresses. LOVE that feature! Too many times I’ve generated a label only to realize I forgot to update the From address! This will help a ton. ??
Thanks again,
Mike

In reply to: [WooCommerce Shipping] Migrating Loses Previous Tracking InfoGreat to hear! Giving these updates a good run through before rolling out to clients is critical to ensure I don’t get “those phone calls” ??
I’ll keep an eye out for the next release.
Thanks for the quick reply!

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Error after updateYou’re not alone. This has happened to me on every single client site I’ve updated to 10.5. Each site is different, different plugins, themes, etc. Sites are on different hosting.
There sure seems to be something wrong with 10.5 and its update process.
However, in *every case* (so far), after the critical error, I’m able to refresh the page, the plugin is updated, and the errors go away.
In the mean time, I’ve been debating manually updating each site or just holding off updating the rest of my client sites until I see a new version to address the issue.
Downgrading like you’re doing, is probably the smartest path. ??

In reply to: [Better Font Awesome] Error on Activation BFA 1.0Hi Mickey,
Thanks for the quick reply!
Here’s what I just did:
1) Deactivated 0.9.7
2) Renamed the old plugin on the site
3) Downloaded (and unzipped to verify good download) 1.0 from site
4) Uploaded that fresh download to the site
5) Activated and … I got the error. Some additional tech. details:
Host: BlueHost
PHP version 5.2.17
MySQL version 5.5.37-log
cURL version 7.24.0FIXED:
I had the option to bump to PHP 5.4 so I took it and that bumped PHP to version 5.4.30.That allowed the pluging to be activated!
So it must be an issue with PHP 5.2…
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
IF it’s supposed to work with PHP 5.2 and you need me to do any testing, let me know.
Mike
