thank you for your fast reply. I followed your suggestions. I made a full backup with duplicator and I exported the setting of virtue theme.
Then I have to manually remove the folder virtue and virtue-child because the installer told me that the folder already existed.
Now, after the installation the Web site is not correctly displayed and are shown many errors:

I hope to see these new features on the next releases. In the meantime, I will ask to piwik community and I will report here the updates.

thank you for your reply. At the moment, the website is completed only in Italian. However, I just put two examples on the home page of the English version.
You can see two direct download links and they work well while the link trough the plug in do not work.

I installed wordpress into another hosting service and I tried with an empty website and the result was the same.
Then, I disable all the plug in and I found that the strange behavior depends on polylang plug in ??
Do you know how can I fix it? Is spacious theme incompatible with polylang?

I can only modify my home page as you can see here while if a create a new page I cannot edit it as you can see here. I can only use page builder plugin in order to modify the page.
It is the first time that this happen. In the same website if I change the theme to virtue, I can edit all the pages.

No, they do not neither suggest nor force this. However, I tried to create basic page even with a new template.php file without success.
Any suggestion?

ok this is strange. I have WP 4.7.5 with the following plugins installed and active (all at latest version):
Child Theme Configurator
Polylang
SportsPress
SportsPress for Football (Soccer)
UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore
I have also other plugins that are disabled. I tried also with only the two sportpress plugins without success.
Any suggestion?

Why do you think it could be a problem of WP setting or hosting if the site works well with the emulator?
It seems something not compatible between browser and rookie theme. I never experienced something like this.
