Crazy. I renamed the plugins folder back to plugins and now the dashboard is working well enough to let me deactivate Jetpack.

I haven’t done that yet. That will take a while. I have poor upload speeds.

Ok. I renamed the plugin folder to plugin.hold. Now I can’t enter the dashboard from the login page or the web hosting control panel. Same error.
