I’ve been able to use the [glossary_exclude] shortcode after adding the Preserved HTML Editor Markup Plus plugin.
Problem solved! ??

I’ve disabled the plugin and the two code blocks display identically on the sample page. (I’m using the TwentyFourteen theme.)
Thanks, again!

> Thank you, CM – I’ll look into that! Thanks, CM, but the [glossary_exclude] shortcode is affecting the way that WP parses the content. I’ve created a simple page that illustrates the effect that the shortcode is having on the way that WP is processing the page:
- The first code block is wrapped in the opening/closing shortcode tags. (The tags are immediately before and immediately after the <div> tags, on their own lines.)
- The second code block is unchanged.
Please advise!

Thanks, Javier:
I don’t think that I’m ready to get into subcontracting custom module development – Software development is unfamiliar territory and extra overhead for me. I’m in the business of publishing my blog and I’d like to keep it as simple as That! ??

Forum: Developing with WordPress
In reply to: Development-Production Scenario: Two Divergent WP SitesThanks, BCWorkx:
I agree with what you’ve said – That’s the model that I currently employ – but I would like to maintain a separate site for Development so that the WWW statistics aren’t bloated by my inch-by-inch development style on the Development site. ??
I know that it seems vein but I’m very interested in tracking visitor statistics (and, right now, I am my #1 reader [according to the stats]). ??
I suppose that I could just develop on Development and then copy-and-paste the HTML into Production. (That’s how I’ve been migrating edits/fixes from Development to Production.) Or I could just export/import posts and pages using the WordPress importer and WordPress Export Tool. Both seem equally effective. One’s just a bit more automated.
Thanks, again!

Portland, OregonI am certainly not opposed to paying for software that helps me in some way, Javier. I’m just a bit reluctant to pay for *custom* software. e.g., Who will maintain the code as updates and security-fixes are needed? Would you continue to maintain/update the software for a period of time? Or, as the person who purchased the custom software: Would I need to identify the security-fixes that should be applied and then pay you a second time for the fixes? See: It gets complicated FAST!
I’d prefer to purchase commercially-developed software or to purchase a subscription for commercially-maintained software. That way: I get the functionality that I need [for a price] and you have a vested interest in maintaining and expanding the code [so that more customers will purchase/lease the software].
Have you considered a subscription model for a complete import/export tool? I’d certainly pay an annual subscription fee for that! ??

Would you please clarify the last sentence in your reply? I’m not quite sure what you meant when you said “…if you want support the develop.”

In reply to: [CM Tooltip Glossary] How to hide certain glossary on certain postPlease tell me more, CMS! Will the shortcode “disable the parsing of glossary terms in one area of a page“? Or will the shortcode disable parsing of the entire page?
