After after 2 days to researching I have finally resolved this issue.

Caxton is bundled with Freemius. I installed Freemius Master Fixer plugin to resolve the issue. https://github.com/Freemius/freemius-fixer

Thanks for the assistance. Meanwhile, I have manually downgraded my installation to version 4.4.2 to keep using the plugin.

My problem is solved. I had a conflicting plugin “Add widget after content”. As soon as I deactivated the plugin the parallax started displaying.
