The Envato Elements plugin facilitates connecting Elements subscriptions for import of photos and elementor templates from envato. It also has a visual kit installer for kits purchased on themeforest.net. It does not control how kits are handled or displayed on your WordPress install (that is all done in Elementor and the addons the kit uses) . We can directly support issues with connecting your account or importing kits. If you are encountering errors when importing templates under Elements > Installed kits, please email the address on the error with the kit name, your url and the debug details of the error.

Below is some general information on using Elementor kits:

Envato pemium kits are the same as any other template kit in terms of being a collection of elementor templates built in Elementor. The difference between premium kits and free kits in the Elements plugin is that the premium kits are built by independent designers (following a set of build guidelines for consistency) and use the Elementor design system (Site Settings > Global Fonts/Global Colors) for controlling fonts and colors. The free kits have all colors and fonts set directly in elementor widget style controls.

The most common cause of display issues are:

1. Elementor > Settings must have Disable default colors and disable default fonts checked.
2. The premium kit’s global kit styles must be loaded. You cannot combine multiple kit styles together – only one global style template can be used at a time.
3. Your theme can override or change how templates render in pages. Both Envato and Elementor kits are designed and tested on the Hello Elementor theme which you can install free under Appearance > Themes
4. Plugin conflicts can occur if you combine several kits from different authors. If combining kits, only use kits with the same plugins (or designed by the same author ) for the best results – you may check the details of kits on the Elements website.

Template kits do not install demo content – they are layouts for the Elementor plugin only and may be used to build a site using Elementor. If you encounter issues with importing Elementor kits from envato, please email the address on the error message with the debug details, your URL and the template kit name.

This plugin is for Envato authors only and is designed to assist in creating products that adhere to legal and technical guidelines while protecting your rights as an author. If you create kits for clients or yourself, we recommend using the standard Elementor export method via Elementor > Tools. Thanks!

We recommend using kits with Hello Elementor and the following PHP resource minimum:

memory_limit = 256M
upload_max_size = 64M
post_max_size = 64M
upload_max_filesize = 64M
max_execution_time = 300
max_input_time = 1000

If you are confident the item you have is an Elementor Template Kit and you are uploading the zipped file, you may need your host to check your server configuration. If you go to Elementor > System Info, see if “gzip” is enabled. You may also check Elements > Settings under Server Limits to ensure everything is green there. Your host can also check to ensure ‘open_basedir’ is disabled , and set ‘allow_url_fopen’ to ‘ON’ in the php.ini file.

First of all, thank you so much for your feedback. We do value your thoughts and opinions and aim to make our plugin the best one out there.

Theme Styles are a growing part of Elementor and will only become more prominent with Elementor 3.0. As WordPress works to lower the bar to entry, you will see themes become more and more obsolete and the separation between front-end visual layer and backend functionality via plugins become more prominent. Elementor is, in fact, a theme builder or a builder for the visual frontend of your website. The WordPress theme itself is intended to do little more than provide skeleton structure, and soon will not even need to do that. To circle back to how our template kits work with elementor theme style, none of the free kits use that feature. Some of the premium kits do, though we encourage all of the authors to include them. This is to ensure total parity with what you see and what you get on import. These styles can be “turned off” by deleting the “Global Kit Style” template under Templates > Installed Templates. None of these should be erasing customizer settings (I don’t think we interact with the customizer at all actually, as there is nothing stored there for elementor). If you continue to see that happen, please contact our support email so we can troubleshoot individual kits with you that are doing that.
