UPDATE:
I followed the steps in https://jetpack.me/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/troubleshooting-tips/
and adding define( ‘JETPACK_CLIENT__HTTPS’, ‘NEVER’ ); fixed my problem with the stats.
Still have the same issue with the “plugin” blank page.
