I wish that I could help. I am in the same situation as you. My site needs a header image too. I am trying to add a circular jpg image just left of the text title in the header.

The only difference for me is that my theme is “Quadruple Blue 1.0” by Small Potato. My site is https://www.energyanalysis.org.

It is the most challenging problem that I have faced yet because I am not a CSS or PHP guy.

If I ever find a solution I will pass it along to you in this thread.

I had the problem yesterday morning. Then it fixed itself yesterday evening. I don’t know why or how it fixed itself, but I got this message from my host, hostgator, in response to my email request for support:

I guess the host solved the problem for me, since it worked last night, but i haven’t tried again this morning to upload another .jpg

exact same thing for me today…very strange…failed to upload all day…then randomly tried at 8 pm and voila.

You know what – Maybe it is our local bandwidth (i.e. I only have 1 MBPS upload from Comcast, so that could be problem). The actual speed varies, so maybe it only works during off-peak hours.

But still it is an annoying problem, and I couldn’t find a workaround in the meantime. i also put it in my ftp site and they tried to use the url to insert it, but that didn’t work either earlier today.

i tried “upload from computer” again 5 minutes ago…..and out of nowhere it works!!!!! That’s great ?? but wtf!? Why all of the sudden does “upload from computer” work for me?!

Seriously though, does anyone know why it decided to work all of the sudden???

Nice site! To answer your question I don’t know. I thought there would be something in settings but I don’t see anything.

Sidenote: how did you get sponsors and incorporate them into a new blog given that your pages use a WP theme and you are “not very technical” ??

yes my blog is installed in the root public_html. i tried creating a folder too, but no luck there. my host is hostgator, and my package is baby which has 6,000gb bandwidth and 600gb disk space. thanks for helping ?? but i am still sol…

i think i’m having the same problem….newbie just getting started.

i added my first real category filled in the blanks clicked add (or save or edit whatever it was at the bottom) screen refreshed visited my site and no new category.

But I don’t see Talian-10 in the mix…Anyone have a second to help a newbie? I promise to help other people if i ever figure this stuff out.

i downloaded the talian-10.zip theme from wordpress and then uploaded it via filemazilla to the following file:

/wp-admin/theme-editor.php

But now I’m stuck…dreaming of what I will do with my blogsite once I graduate WP preschool and enter WP kindergarten.

Is it possible that I am blocked at my office using Filezilla FTP site with host gator. My host, username, password, and port 21 are all entered correctly according to host gator, but I still can’t connect to my “server”.

Here is the only thing I am getting in filezilla when I try to Quickconnect: <not connected to any server>
