Same problem. After upgrading the server in 5 minutes it appeared overloaded due to a huge number of POST requests to admin-ajax.php. Inquiries come with a completely different IP.
Removing the plug-in does nothing.
Studied traffic using tcpdump, the value in the request – ga_stats_widget.
What is happening and how to stop it?
