so i just canceled my server and will change to a root server with linux/apache. i hope it will work out fine for me and the community. i think its quite hard for ~700 members in my community and i want to make it comfortable to reach my website ??

but is this the problem? compression and client browser caching? i dont think that this causes ~10sec timetofirstbyte. also most of the images are hosted at imageshack. but i am aware, that i have to downsize the images. the categories with nearly none pictures are having the same issue, not just the main page. –> https://www.play-cast.de/forum/
i think i have to read into this IIS7 stuff i never heard about ^^ or change to linux/apache.

btw: i’ve got to say, that i’m really impressed ?? i’ve expected to get an answer up in one week or more. or people telling me to solve my problems myself. never thought, that anyone would actually be willing to help me! so far… thx!
