Another error I am getting also – as well as server errors and timeout errors with the Smush It plugin – really needs looking at as this is the best image Optimizer IMO and up until a couple of days ago I had no issues, now its constant and causing real bad delays and server crashes.
Also having this issue. Been having for days and its causing my test site to drag awfully – I keep getting error timeouts and more, and it seems to always be the Smush It plugin.
Also in Settings>Media I am getting this:
WP Smush.it
Use Smush.it on upload? Temporarily Disabled Until……
Thank you for getting back to me but as the user above states, it’s the plugin not something I have done. The option was on automatically and I hadn’t turned it on. Saying that I tried turning it on and off and yet it keeps creating the folders. Something is glitch img where it is not registering either turning it off, and that it seems to have turned on automatically.
The option needs to be fixed or. Turned off completely. Not sure if its a great option as it has the potential to put a lot of clutter on the site. The only way I have been able to stop the folders showing on the front facing album page is to use the option to hide these auto folders.
Here’s a screenshot to show you:

In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] sidebar slideshowAlso having this issue
EDIT: Have just seen the other thread where plugin creator has seen issue and is creating a fix. Look forward to it coming as asap.
Looks like it was a browser issue not saving the comments.
One thing though, can we code the message where it says “You Must login to comments” as I believe we could loose people – so make login a link to the registration page.
Also what recommendations do you have for spam? I have seen a massive jump in it on the site the last few days via the comments sytem on WPPA.
Its a shame as I really love this plugin and like the idea of people being allowed to comment whether members or not – I just want to stop the site getting spam (maybe a recaptcha?)
sant0sk1 – brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! Thank you so much!
As others have mentioned though I am not going to put my thread to solved as I still think the plugin maker needs to rectify the problem his end and restore what is a great plugin.
Thanks
Well on the thread I started someone has offered a fix though I still think the plugin maker has a duty to fix his plugin. I am going to be trying that – so far people say it works You should maybe give it a try.
Good luck.
Will have to give that a try when I get home (just leaving) and can get plugged in again – thank you in advance (fingers crossed)
Would still be interested to see if the develop will do a fix though because there will be a lot of people out there finding same problem
This plugin was brilliant and served all my needs especially as I need a site which users will add content to. Can’t believe the plugin came out flawed so bad.
Although I’m sorry to seeing you are having the same problem as me, I’m glad I’m not the only one if that makes sense.
I just tried manually uploading the file via my FTP and same problem….
Having same problems.
