That worked! Thank you so much. This has been driving me crazy.

It’s an older site so I was only trying to update plugins and core to maintain it. Haven’t had this happen before.

It’s doing this weird thing where it doesn’t show me the full maintenance message when running updates still, but somehow they are running so I am not going to fiddle too much.

I’ve opted to make my tickets and the badge sticker “virtual” which seems to remove shipping options altogether if they’re the only items in the cart.

However, if virtual items are combined in the cart with shippable items, there’s no indication that some items can be shipped and some cannot. Is there a way aside from me having a permanent message on the cart warning them of this to indicate that? I think some people will ignore my warning message and still expect tickets to be shipped.

I’ve found a workaround for my T-shirts by changing the shipping weight to 600g, but I have an issue I can’t seem to solve yet for “snail mail” showing for items that cannot be shipped (e.g. event tickets and a badge sticker) – we only give these out in person after scanning a QR code. I need to be able to block shipping on those items so I’m not having to refund $1 here and there for customers who don’t notice the warning.

Can I block this plugin generating shipping rates by shipping class? Or is there something else I’m missing?

I looked for spaces in the sku column and deleted them from my main file. My test file however didn’t have spaces in the skus.

I also figured out after posting that all products were duplicated somehow on the site. I am not sure how or when this happened. I used smart manager to find and delete the duplicates. Then I updated woo commerce. After that, I tried my test csv again and it worked.

It seems data must have been corrupted and led to a duplication somehow. Very strange issue but I think it may be resolved now.

I am also having this issue. With a CSV file that had the same settings as I normally do and the only change is the latest WordPress update.

I tried figuring out a MIME type fix, but it didn’t work.

Hello — I am having this same issue on mysunglow.com

Is it because I also have Hummingbird on another site on the same server?

The text isn’t correct as it doesn’t give proper info. I also don’t see it on ALL orders, only some.

In my case it seems that it *might* be the plugin I use for allowing customers to order decimal quantities (they can buy fabric yardage, and if they want a full roll they need to enter a decimal, but it’s also common to enter decimals in 0.25 increments).

Because decimals aren’t a native feature for quantities in Woocommerce I had to use another plugin for this. When I use healthcheck for troubleshooting, I can disable everything but Woocommerce and my custom order status plugins and then I CAN edit the order despite the message.

So now whenever the shop manager can’t edit the status she has to ask me to do it, which isn’t a great solution.

Is there another plugin that I can use for decimals or can Woocommerce add that in as a standard feature? This seems like an unnecessary problem to have and the error message is useless because it gives no indication of the real problem.

@johnyb I will try it out, thanks!

I’m not sure you understand. I had all the plugins disabled for me but I still got the message that the order wasn’t editable — and yet I was able to edit it. So how am I to tell if it’s a specific plugin when the message is always there whether I can edit or not?

I still don’t have an answer on why this message even appears. Why would an order become uneditable?

    Hi Mikey,

I tried the healthcheck plugin and I was able to edit the order status — but the “no longer editable” message still appears so there’s no way for me to debug this properly.

Any idea what is causing the message in the first place?

I doubt it’s a plugin conflict. I don’t change the plugins that often and it was working before — but now it isn’t. Our customer service team is complaining and I need this to be fixed.

I can supply a list of the plugins I have active, but this is a live site. If I disable plugins required for certain functionality, we will get many customer complaints.

We just had to switch hosts but the problem is persisting. We try changing the order status, press “update”, and then nothing happens on some orders. The page won’t even reload. It is ignoring the button press and there’s a message that says “This order is no longer editable” near the bottom of the order screen. What causes it to be uneditable? There’s no information. Is there a limit on how many can be set to “pending payment”?

On the screen showing the list of orders, we can still mark them as complete – but we can’t change status to anything else.

I had to change the aspect ratio and turn off cropping because the settings moved around, but that page you linked seems to explain why it’s having problems with some images. Sounds like it’s something about the on the fly process. I’m pretty sure some of my affected images have transparent backgrounds and I wonder if that’s confusing the processor.

I don’t like that my images were fine before and now a bunch of them look off. I should be able to use transparent PNGs whenever I want without them getting messed up in the thumbnail appearance. If it’s messing up when there’s transparency, that’s way too many images for me to manually fix (and I shouldn’t have to anyway as they worked before the update!).

This is a bit disappointing, I want my images to be more consistent and I shouldn’t have to spend hours editing them to fix an error that wasn’t happening before.

By the way, I’m using the Shapely theme with some CSS modifications that I made. I’m not sure if the theme makes a difference in this case.

Host says Image Magick is already on the server.

    Any other ideas?

I haven’t changed servers recently. We moved servers in mid-January. This issue only started very recently after updates.

Everything was fine before the latest updates, so it’s either Woocommerce or WordPress updates changing something. The Woocommerce update seemed more significant and required all the thumbnails changing, so I’m inclined to believe it’s related to that.

I don’t know how to fix the issue or how widespread it is. Looking through 1500+ images isn’t really practical.

I don’t think it’s my images directly, it’s something about the automatic resizing. Full size still looks fine on the site after all.

@mike sure, here is one of the full size images https://drive.google.com/open?id=1GTN49YOakuBsfJ8TIpUJUJ8IgMMWIa-o

I tried regenerating the thumbnails but it didn’t help.

@mandm23 where do I find that setting? I don’t see any warnings in my dashboard.
