Any Theme should be suitable for content publishing. There’s no specific Theme, at least I am not aware of it.

That’s probably because misc.php is being called from functions.php

I am looking at style.css and don’t see footer styles in.

Sorry to hear that and I definitely know the feeling. Lastly, see if your host can give you a backup, or some type of rollback maybe. If so, you can restore what was lost.

<meta name="description" content="no" /> should not be hardcoded in any Theme hosted here. I will ping the author about it.

Origami you can locate this in style.css however if you’re not familiar with source code, you can always use free tools like https://www.wpthemedetector.com/

Go to https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/scanner/ and see if anything comes out.

If Sucuri doesn’t show anything, see if someone from https://jobs.wordpress.net can give you a hand. Maybe this is something simply overlooked.

P.S. Keep in mind that the platform is safe, however outdated plugins or badly made theme can be a problem.
