My plugin collects links twice each time

In Matomo, it’s possible for the same user to appear as different sessions due to various factors:- Session Timeout: If a user’s session remains inactive for a certain period (default is 30 minutes), Matomo might consider it as a new session when the user interacts with the website again.
- Campaign Attribution: If a user arrives at your website through different campaigns or sources (e.g., direct, organic search, referral), Matomo might track each visit separately, resulting in multiple sessions.
- Device or Browser Changes: If a user switches devices or browsers while interacting with your website, Matomo may interpret each switch as a new session.
- Tracking Code Changes: If there are changes to the Matomo tracking code on your website, such as updates or modifications, it could lead to the creation of new sessions for returning users.
- Cookies: Matomo relies on cookies to track user sessions. If a user deletes cookies or uses a browser in incognito/private mode, it can cause Matomo to interpret their visit as a new session.
- Ecommerce Tracking: This happens for example when a user visited your shop in the past, deletes all the cookies and then visits your shop again. It may also happen when opening the website in an “Incognito window” in your browser.
These factors contribute to the appearance of multiple sessions for the same user in Matomo analytics. It’s essential to consider these nuances when analyzing user behavior on your website.
My WordPress dashboard has displayed Matomo diagnostics warnings since installation

@mod666 we’ve just released a new version of Matomo for WordPress. Could you please update your Matomo to the latest version and let us know if the issue persist?
