    Thank you ALL!

I searched the error message as DianeV suggest, and I found an FAQ that told me how to read the message & how it points me to an error on line 47 of wp-config.php — located in the public_html folder on my FTP!

Sure enough it ends at line 45. Lines 46 & 47 were just blank space that was keeping me out.

I am back into my admin, and everything is still there. StatPress even continued to monitor my traffic!

    Thank you so much everyone,
    Jason

Thanks DianeV. I was hoping that my site being there was a good sign!

I downloaded Text Wrangler so that I could look at my php’s for problems, but I don’t know where to start.

    My message is:
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/o*******/public_html/wp-config.php:47) in /home/o*******/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 390

Any ideas as to where I can start to look for the problem I am having with the admin side of things?

edit: Also, are there any other places on this forum where they have a list of things to check based on your error message?

    Thanks everyone,
    Jason

    OK, thanks wahgnube & kevinclapcott!

Can someone tell me how to start a fresh database, so that I can add back my plugins, theme, and posts?

    Thanks!

So, what does this mean for me?

I go to my site and the page comes up fine. I just cannot get into my admin side.

Are you all saying that there is no way to fix this? Even if I put the “www” folder back for 2.5?

How do I get back to normal by starting over?

I can reinstall 2.3.3, put my theme back onto it, and the cut and paste my 27 posts back over. They will all show a post date of today, but besides that everything would be back to new right?

There are only 27 posts, and I probably only want to transfer over 20 or less. That wouldn’t take too long.

Please let me know what I have to do to get my page back to normal, or if there is already a thread on how to do this — please direct me there.

Also, please direct me to well written, detailed instructions for how to backup everything, so that this doesn’t happen again. I am a newbie to all of this, and have learned everything so far by reading around. I thought I have backed up properly per the instructions on WordPress codex, but apparently I missed something.

Thank you all for your responses, and for helping me get back on my feet!

    Jan,

    Thank you for the response!

I don’t know if I backed up properly, but I basically copied the entire “www” folder off of my FTP when it was still 2.3. Then, I installed 2.5 and copied that “www” folder as well. They are in separate folders, so that they are not confused.

When I didn’t like 2.5 I simply replaced the “www” on my FTP with the “www” that I pulled off when it was still 2.3.

    Does that make sense?

Did I do something wrong? If so, can I fix it with what I have?

    Thanks again,
    Jason

    Can anyone help me?

Am I posting this in the wrong section?

If there is a more appropriate place on the forum for this post to go, please tell me.

    Thanks all,
    Jason
