  • I’m not sure, The primary menu appeared in the footer by default when I installed the theme. I wanted the menu horizontal so I added a custom menu widget to the footer-widget-area as instructed above with no success that is when I tried the ‘Horizontal Footer Sitemap – Widget’
I’m not sure if that answers your question, I’m not new to web design but I am relatively new to WordPress.

I am having the same issue. I tried dragging a custom menu widget into the footer with no success, I downloaded a plugin ‘Horizontal Footer Sitemap – Widget’ thinking it might work but it come in vertical as well.
I’m working with a child theme, i’ve been searching through the css trying to find the code to change with no success so far.
    Any thoughts?

    Brian,
Edit the file called flexslider.css in your plugins/captain-slider/assets folder in an html editor (or notepad or something)
Look for .flexslider on line 42 and delete “background: #fff;” from that line.
Save the file and refresh your page.
