  • Hello Paul, I’m the person that sent you the mail (I’m not the CEO by the way, I’m the Deputy Support Manager). I’m afraid you misunderstood the reason we sent you the mail. It was not meant to only explain what you had mentioned in these 2 comments above but to actually find a way to help you!

I explained why we normally didn’t refund credits and how the support wizard works, sure, but I also wrote that i wanted to understand what happened so i could offer you the help you needed and sort this problem out.

You never finished our support wizard which is meant to gather the important things needed before you reach our support. If you had continued to the end of the wizard, you would’ve reached a live chat or a forum ticket with a HUMAN supporter who would have had most if not all the information needed to help you solve your problem faster. If the wizard wasn’t intuitive enough to let you know what was going on, then we’d love to know about it so we can improve it.

I’m also a “technical” as you call it, by the way so i can definitely help you myself sort all these problems out (including the credits issue). You can reply to the mail I sent you and we can continue there, if you wish, as an exception (instead of opening a support ticket/chat).

    Regards,

    Alejandro Sanchez.

I know that and in fact i didn’t really ask for the custom code (which i can do myself) it’s just that i see that this section is basically all JS (react i guess) and i couldn’t find a hook or anything else that would belong to this section.

I know how to get the custom field, i just need to know if there are hooks in place for this section so i could take it from there.

I didn’t know about the WC slack group so maybe that’s the correct place to ask ??

Coding is not a problem, but why would i need to add a new custom field if the phone number is already in the user’s info?

Let me rephrase what i want to achieve:

In the WooCommerce analytics page for the customers (woocommerce > Customers), you can have many columns, right?

In the columns, you have mail, username, date registered, etc. however the Phone number field is missing, yet that info is there in the user’s metadata since they add it when they buy a product.

What I was asking is if there’s a hook or something that would allow me to “inject” that field and set it as available in the columns option (check this screenshot as a reference: https://prnt.sc/1iap1js , how can I enable a custom field here? )

Right now i only have the FREE version which i have already modified a bit (it had some deprecated code, other code i adapted it to the current WP standards, etc.

I didn’t want to Fork this project so people that already had it would continue to keep support, but at this point i think i’ll upload it to Github so everyone can improve it a bit.

Allow me some time to do so because work has had me a bit busy here.

I haven’t asked for the “paid” version because i feel like it could be a disrespect to the original author but whoever can get me in contact with him, would do me a HUGE favor! (i have tried everywhere without success X_x )

Oh yeah, i hid the error while i try to find out what’s going on, since the plugin does work and the site where it’s in is a production site.

I think i’m in the same boat as you guys and i also think the entire problem was caused by jetpack’s photon module.

Jetpack has been causing me a lot of trouble lately, i’ve talked to their support and they have confirmed i’m not the onl one and they’re working on it. unfortunately, though, i can’t wait anymore (it’s been a while already). it’s a shame really because the photon module is actually very very helpful.

Now i’m stuck with this HTTP error everytime i upload media files and don’t know how to get rid of it… even now that jetpack has been deactivated and uninstalled!

Wow, for some reason i never got a notification mail for this thread. i just did what you recommended and it has notably decreased the redirection time.

The site is not slow per se, it loads in under 1.5s (i slowed it down from 7s to just that with a lot of customization) and like 500ms from that time is due to the server. the site runs on a hostingdns’ shared plan so i suppose that’s why.

    Thanks for everything!

I manage to solve the issue, it turns out wordfence was doing something weird and caused the whole problem. i initially discarded it because i had even deleted it and the problem still remained BUT it also turns out that wordfence leaves a cached pages folder in your server even after deletion so, i had to delete it to actually KNOW that was causing the problem.

I believe my client or somebody working for him updated the plugin (probably by mistake) and it caused problems because the wordpress install (and its server) is WAY too old (php 3, CentOS 3 and wordpress 4.2) for this new version to work.

I do have chrome 51, but it also happened on safari, explorer and firefox so i doubt it’s the chrome error i’ve been reading about in a few forum threads.

I added that code to my functions.php file before i wrote the thread and i’m waiting for the problem to present itself again (for some reason it goes away when i log in, but it reappears after a few days, when everybody’s logged out for a while) in the meantimes i wanted to check or confirm if it was indeed an ssl certificate problem.

by Paypal pro do you mean the wootheme’s plugins or do you think any plugin will do?

I believe it’s possible since i’ve seen different woocommerce stores do that, i read on a github thread that woocommerce didn’t add that because of a limitation in the shipping api function, but man that sucks!

First of all, thanks for the answer.

Now, I have, as of today (morning, before writing this thread) a configuration as you say, that’s not the problem though.

The real problem is what you said before: shipping is shown as an inline item instead of as a shipping amount which leads to a higher PayPal fee. My earning margin is pretty low right now and shipping fees are high here in Italy so I can’t afford to have shipping as an inline item.

I was wondering if there was a plugin that uses the correct api function and recognizes the shipping fee, instead of showing it as an inline item, or if there was a workaround for this.

and what rules would you recommend to add to that sitemap?

I know how to create it, but i’m certainly not an expert on what to add and what NOt to add, to avoid duplicate pages and problems with google in general.

    Thanks!

    Hi there!

I manage to solve all three of the problems ??
Number 1 and 2 were related to the XML sitemap. As I said before I use yoast ‘s automatic sitemap and after a lot of digging and searching I understood what the sitemap was for, how to build one, what to include in it and how to send it to google.
I still have to wait a bit (for google to update) to see if I did everything right but I believe I did. my sitemap is smaller now and includes only posts (i removed the archives, tags and authors pages because they were resulting in duplicate contents).

Ok, i just solved problem number 3:

after searching a lot on the web, i found the a yoast tool that solved my case ( YOAST permalink helper ).

    1 done, 2 to go!
