I have tried to temporarily disable the ‘REST API: Head endpoint’ in Yoast SEO by performing the following actions:

– In WordPress, go to SEO> General> Features (tab)
– Scroll down to ‘REST API: Head endpoint’ and click the toggle button ‘Off
– Click on ‘Save changes

And disabling this option now I don’t get the message “Error Updating failed. Error message: the response is not a valid Json Reponse”.

The last update of your WPQuads plugin causes a conflict in my WordPress with this function of the Seo By Yoast plugin, because if I install the previous version 2.0.9.1 of WPQuast the problem is solved alone and I do not receive the message “Error Updating failed. I just followed this tutorial to disable https://yoast.com/help/how-to-disable-or-enable-the-rest-api-endpoint-in-yoast-seo/ REST API endpoint in Yoast SEO and now it works perfectly and this error has been removed! But… what happens if I have it disabled ? something happens ? the pages are indexed worse or I will have some problem ? or is everything correct. Thank you very much!!

Hello again thanks, but I do not know what is or how to disconnect that, I have no knowledge of WordPress, could you tell me what it is? Anyway almost certainly is a problem of wpquads because if I go back to the previous version of wpquads works perfectly in both seo by yoast 14.7 as the previous version of seo by yoast. I wonder if I’ll get an answer in wpquads support too… Thanks for everything.

Hi, first of all, thank you very much for your trouble. The plugin I use is normal WP Quads.

As for the ‘The answer is not a valid JSON answer’ I already made in a backup I have in local SEO> General> Features and change the permalinks to discard and does not solve the error.

Neither does changing my “Orbital” template to “Twenty Nineteen” solve it.

The problem is when I have updated the WPQuads plugin to the latest version and Seo By Yoast to version 14.7. If I disconnect one of the 2 plugins it doesn’t give me the error. I have also tested that if I go back to the previous version of WPQuads 2.0.9.1 everything works perfectly even with the last version of Seo By Yoast 14,7.

The problem of all this is that I have 7 webs and in all of them I use the same theme, configuration and template and it only happens in 1 of them… but it has been when I updated these 2 plugins.

Anyway, reproducing this error is going to be impossible because, as I said, I have 7 websites with identical configuration and this problem only occurs in one of them…

If I go back to WPQuads version 2.0.9.1 everything works normally…

1- Yes, all my plugins , themes and WordPress are updated.

2- I get an error in the chrome console but it’s a normal error that I get in all my web pages… just give me that message in this..

3- It only works if I disconnect WpQuads or if I disconnect Seo by Yoast… but I can’t have WPQuads or Seo by Yoast at the same time…I have tried with several themes and I get the same error message from JSON has been when updating WPQuads and Seo By Yoast, if I disconnect one of the 2 is solved… both at the same time can not be active. Apparently it is an incompatibility that has wpquads with the last version of Seo By Yoast Version 14.7. If I disconnect WpQuads does not appear the error to save or update the post, on the contrary if I activate WPQuads but deactivate Seo By Yoast the error disappears… it is an incompatibility between your plugins that affects Gutemberg… the strange thing is that it only happens to me in one of my webs…

The error in the photo is in Spanish. And it’s been when I update your plugin because if I deactivate it I don’t get this error. Lazy loading is done correctly the problem is that while the lazy loading appears you should load a spinner shaped gif called “loading.gif” that does not load and makes the web slow down for a few milliseconds. If I disconnect W3 total cache works perfectly and the animation is seen, it doesn’t matter if I delete the cache of the plugin or the browser, loading.gif only loads if the w3 total cache plugin is disconnected, so it gives it from the plugin.

According to Google Search Console I get red that can not be indexed (as it has the label nofollow), in fact tells me that is not indexed in Google but then I see that if it is with the command site: the last crawl was May 1 I guess it will be a bug of Google bot and will disappear from searches in a few days, however I will update next week to 14.1 aver if it improves. Hello good, if I give you to see in the html browser categories, the tags are correct because it says noindex, the fact is that I should not index and I have indexed some categories (not all some urls only some) so I do not know if it is a failure of the Google bot or failure of the plugin but as I said above if I see the category in html says “noindex”.
