  • Yes, if you can include photos on flickr with restricted access that would be fantastic, and put this plugin in a class by itself. This is a critical feature – I have many family photos on flickr that are ‘friends and family’ only, and want to display them on my website with a similar level of permission. I’ve worked out doing that on the WP side, but have to allow the photos to be public on flickr to display them, which defeats the whole purpose.

After playing around a bit more I have managed to use html tags in the text area as well, so when I click on an image it opens the highslide window containing multiple images and captions. Cool effect. I tried to nest it deeper, calling one Highslide window inside another, but haven’t succeeded in doing that. If someone tries it and it’s possible I’d love to hear about it. -LME

OK, I can place an image in the expander title area, and clicking it opens the expander window. But when I try to place the image in the expander text area, which is what I really want to do, it does not work, and only echoes the link URL as text. Is it possible to put an image reference in the text area, and if so what would be the syntax? Please solariz (Marko) let me know, because I really like this plugin and it will accomplish something important for me in designing my site… -LME (leselkind.me)

Thanks, nicosFR. That seems pretty simple and I used it to make some styling of the excerpt happen. Now I just have to figure out the CSS box model and apply it to the excerpt.

Thanks, t-p. Rather than rely on plugins (I already use Thumbnails for Excerpts) I’m trying to learn how to do this via PHP and CSS. I’m a retired guy with little coding experience, just an insane desire to understand how to make a web site that can display media I’ve created. I’m trying to understand how the coding works as much as I’m trying to get the site up and functional. I do appreciate your suggestion, and any advice you might have on where I can learn more about how to style content in WP. -Les

I’m also a newbie and recently got a GoDaddy hosted domain, then downloaded WordPress through the GoDaddy “products” section – it was installed automatically and the SQL databases got set up automatically. Easy. Only problem so far is my WP site is at my-domain/wordpress instead of my-domain. I’m trying to find out how to move it to the root.
