The internals of this are entirely the use of the standard BuddyPress messaging functions. It could be possible to automatically add the sender to the list of people to send to.

An alternative is that it always ends up in the “sentbox”. What is the use case to get a copy might I ask?

Is it activated? On the left menu (Inbox, Starred etc…) you will get a new menu called “Mass Messaging” and that is where you send them from.

That is part of the WordPress core that makes that code, but I’m sure there will be a hack somewhere you can add to change it. I’ll have a search.

Into the group menu? At the moment this is not supported but is likely to be in an upcoming version. Instead goto your profile, messages, mass messaging and select the group from there.

If you tick the “Send as a 1 message” or “Send as 1 thread” checkbox it will send 1 message to all the users so they can see the replies!

Can you open the console (F12) and check what the requests are?

So you have the option to say that only groups X, Y and Z can be messaged to? For sure, I’ll look into that!

When you select all, JavaScript triggers the other tickboxes to be selected. Can you check if there are any errors in the console?
