Hi Projectaroha. You must be kiwi, nice username. I’m a kiwi myself. Unfortunately this issue was not resolved. After the automatic updates began, numerous errors riddled my database. I tried binning all plugins, different themes, reloading woo commerce, daughter sites, the works. The errors remained, even got worse. In the end I went back to WIX which works smooth as silk and I have my customers back. I’m not sure what the heck is going on with wordpress after the auto updates but it totally destroyed my site and it remains unusable. Hope you can resolve your issues.

    Cheers

This issue is unresolved. The issue appears to be with WooCommerce. I’ve tried a staging site, deleting all plugins, reloading, yady ya. There are errors all through my database. I cant be bothered wasting any more hours on this. Loops of insanity. It shouldnt be this hard. I’m pulling the pin. I have to offer my products for free until I can sort out another host as this is completely ridiculous. Goodbye WordPress.

I just took the nuclear option and changed my theme to a woocommerce storefront extension. I thought that by doing so it must solve my compatibility issues. Unfortunately, same error message :This payment gateway is not available”. This for both PayPal and Credit Card.

I have created new PayPal accounts, different email address, changed themes. I’m not sure what else I can do. This is fairly detrimental to my business. Any avenues I could persue?

    Many thanks for any help.

    Hi Remi

I created a new PayPal Business account. Followed all the steps for WooCommerce integration, API’s, Code ID, PayPal IPN and Auot-return and the same result. From the Checkout page I’m redirected to PayPal no problem, where I fill my CC details, or use PayPal account to pay, then I’m bumped back to my website page entitled ‘Confirm Your PayPal Order’ where a black button asks me to ‘Proceed to PayPal’ again. Upon clicking I receive the error message ‘This payment gateway is not available.’

This occurs no matter which method of payment I try. Shall I try deleting WooCommerce plugin and start over?

    Thank you

Thanks heaps for fast reply. Unfortunately I have tried the steps you linked and, alas, the credit card link still does not work. For the direct ‘credit card’ button on the item page, after entering all my CC details, I receive the error message “This payment gateway is not available”. If I go the PayPal route I am re-directed to my site after entering CC details and then I receive the error message “Things don’t appear to be working at the moment”. It really doesn’t want to link between the two entities it seems. Is there anything else I could perhaps try?

    Thank you!

    Hello again.

I have both used the options for ‘PayPal Standard’ on its own, and ‘PayPal Checkout’ on its own and also both options checked, however the same result of error message of either ‘Payment method not accepted’, or ‘Gateway error’. The PayPal button works, in a sense that that I am redirected to PayPal and I’m able to enter Credit Card details. However, it is when I’m re-directed back to my sight for order confirmation that the payment method error occurs. Not sure at all why. I’m running out of options to try. Thank you in advance for any help or advice.

    Thank you Fotis!

That certainly did the trick. I really appreciate your assistance. Thats also given me a boost to sort out my CSS coding.

    Cheers!

    Hi Guys

Just one more thing. The social icons also appear underneath in the pages ‘Contact’ and ‘Product’. They appear underneath the description box. I tried using the inspect locater to find their corresponding code, however my attempts to emulate the formatting of the code you supplied failed miserably.

If you could supply a line of code that could delete the social icons from these additional pages, that would be much appreciated.

    Thank you!

Thanks Fotis for the suggestions. Sorry I mixed up the names, was replying to your message with a three year old in my face.

I ended up re activating the WP Super Cache and deleted the cache again. I applied the code suggested by @contentiskey and it has finally worked. I’m very pleased. Thanks to both of you for you help. you have saved my sanity. Cheers!

    Hi Lisa

I’m not saving a draft version of customizer. It has the publish button the same as seen in your link.

I have cleared all caches and don’t have any theme plugins such as elementor. I binned all of that. Still can’t get any code to take affect unfortunately. I’ll try the code that you linked to. Cheers

Thank you for your reply Lisa. I have previously attempted to apply similar CSS codes, however whatever CSS I add does not show when published. I’m not sure why. Could there be a button that has to be enabled inside the theme in order for CSS to take affect?

    Really appreciate it, thank you.
