Ok, here is the Google Sheet Integration information

There’s nothing to see when I click view for the Debug Log, just an empty screen on a new browser tab

Here is the sheet and tab name screen:

Thanks, David. With that information I might be able to find another solution. When I search plugins for bbpress and shortcodes, it seems that there are other possible answers. I’ll post again if I find one that works.

    E.

I just found this thread and see that your update precedes Coleman, when I first had any issues with this plug-in. Opening Hours seems to be the culprit with my editor not functioning. Do you know if your update solves the issues described in the other thread, having to do with the WP update?

Thanks for working on the plug-in; I really liked it and was bummed to take it down. I tried a few others when I did and didn’t like them as much.

Is there no easier way to do this from the wordpress dashboard? something in settings, perhaps?

I was able to find the answer to my issue in an old post from 3 years ago: The problem had to do with accessing the site through a link that was in an iframe. I changed the link so it opened the site in a new window and now the site displays correctly on a device!

(I knew it had to be something simple.)

Thank you! I missed that step altogether. I didn’t read the information carefully and assumed that could skip that step as none of my rooms combined to make one space. Now the rooms and their attributes all display.

However, when I select a room and then agree to the policies (which also displays rather nicely), I then get a 404. So there must be something else I am missing.

I haven’t activated the events calendar plugin. I’d like to use the calendar so patrons can access it when selecting a date they’d like to reserve a room, but I am afraid it will cause a conflict with the events calendar I have activated already (Event Organizer). Can you say more about how your calendar works and if this is a real concern or not?

Thanks for your help and thanks for sharing your plug-ins.

The warning message comes up if I go to Settings-> reading-> “Front page displays”

And then if I check “a static page” and select the same page as both front page and posts page.

I just was hoping with a static page I could get more control over the design and be able to add a title to the blog section. I think I might have a workaround if I can insert a text widget there. Will try that. Right now I’ve a blog post that is serving as title, but I’m not crazy about that. I figured out how to remove one widget that I didn’t want on the front page, so I am already feeling more in control than I did yesterday at this time.

Just realized I left the site without unchecking the static page box. Hopefully when you look at it again you’ll see what I mean about the posts.

The author and category designation follow every post (not page), the posts are on the main page, which holds the blog roll. Right now it’s not a static main page. I haven’t solved this, yet, but I think I understand the path I need to follow, just haven’t had time to explore that line of thinking and completely digest the concept yet.

I mean for this to be more of a traditional web site, rather than a blog site. The blog roll format serves pretty well for the news updates for our library. I like having the blog/news widget appearing on other pages. However, I would like to put a title in front of that section so our users know what they are looking at. I tried creating a page today called “main” and setting it as both static and blog page, and the wordpress editor warned me not to do that. Not sure why.

Thanks for the lead on how to tweek the header image display. Was thinking tossing the search widget up top might mess with the responsiveness of the theme, and I don’t want to do that. I can always just give in prominence where it is.

The rough spots in the site will all take me a bit to smooth out as I am just learning, but all your input at last gets me headed in the right direction. So thank you.

    Thanks for your response.

My theme is Spacious by ThemeGrill and my site is https://www.uproc.lib.mi.us/pwplinfo/.

I have a book with a chapter on Parent Child themes. It looked complicated, but I suppose I will try to clear out some space in my brain and just read it. It’s probably not impossible.

Will child/parent themes help me control home my header image displays on each page? Right now how it is set up on the front page of the site is exactly how I want it for 50% of the site (it changes with each refresh of the page). But for the other half of the site I’d prefer a static image or no image.

Is this (child/parent theme) how I can control how the header image displays on each page as well? Right now the display is perfect for the front page, and 50% of the other pages, but then there is the other 50% of the site where I’d like either a static header image or no header image.
