Stripe is working on an internal solution for this exact scenario. Once Stripe makes this available to us we will be adding it into this Stripe plugin.

i would be surprised that woocommerce does not have this available.

i have not tried it yet. but systemctl restart commands are fun to do.

as i recall, perl had something similar, something with apache. or maybe it was php-fpm…? cant remember….

definitely MAYBE….. i took over the project, and i may have seen a caching plugin. if you are suggesting i temporarily disable the plugin, you are making an excellent suggestion.

however, if you are NOT suggesting this, then i made the excellent suggestion, and no bonus points awarded to you. ????????

sorry, there are days (well, months AND years) when the brain just refuses to engage for whatever reason.

i forgot all the prior testing was done on a shared NameCheap server. now the work has been moved over to the production server (using a development subdomain name) and to make a snippet change “live” I needed to restart the php-fpm.service

darn, forgot all about that……. maybe I will asks the snippet people if there is a workaround.

just a suggestion – i should think that passing a custom field to the stripe meta would be a very common request.

maybe wooCommerce might consider making this option MUCH easier? i was expecting some sort of easy simple plugin option, like a checkbox option that said: “Pass this custom-field value to Stripe Meta?” or something similar.
