• Hi there,

When the nonprofit I work for changed their name this winter we lost access to our Teaching Artist Institute page that was set up through www.remarpro.com. Our original website was https://www.yasandiego.org and our new one is https://www.artsforlearningsd.org.

It seems that because we have redirected the traffic that we are not able to log in through our old way which was yasandiego.org/taisandiego/wp-admin also the listing of the www.remarpro.com site was/is taisandiego.org which we also can no longer access because of the inability to load the /wp-admin page.

If anyone could please let me know how to regain access or if they’ve struggled with this issue before that would be super. Unfortunately, I cannot find any of the original documents (or original username/email/pw) needed authenticate my access in order to recover the site through a ticket at wordpress.com/support. Thanks for your help it’s really appreciated.

  • https://www.artsforlearningsd.org/ is not a WordPress site.

    Thank you for checking in.
https://www.taisandiego.org is the wordpress site I need the assistance with.

I am aware that this site is not showing up. I assume this is because of the issue with redirecting that I am currently struggling with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve searched through the forums for the past hour and was unable to find a similar instance. However, if anyone is able to link me to a similar occurrence of this issue I would appreciate that as well. Thank you.

Is this a wordpress.com site or a self-hosted WordPress install?

I am new to the team and trying to find that out myself. I assumed it was a self-hosted WordPress however without being able to check under the hood (log in) I am not positive. Both yasandiego.org and artsforlearningsd.org are listed on the domain registry I have access to and taisandiego.org is not listed but that doesn’t mean it isn’t still registered as our domain on another hosting site that I am working on regaining access to. I realize that’s a tad confusing so feel welcome to ask for clarification.

Did someone install WordPress on your own hosting space?

Unfortunately, I do not have an answer for you. Maybe it was but it was done over 4 years ago with a consultant who is delightfully difficult to contact. Is there no way to find a work around for logging in when the previous address at which to log in was yasandiego.org/taisandiego/wp-admin? I have the admin access for logging in through that route but whenever I try to load that page I’m redirected to a “this page does not exist” and regardless of whose email I try to log in at wordpress.com I still cannot find a way to access an editable platform. I’m sure once I get access that updating will be a cinch, it’s just getting access that’s the issue. Appreciate your time!

I’m sorry but I’m at a loss with this one. The current site doesn’t even look as if it is a WordPress site.

That’s alright. I’m at a loss as well. Do you know of any other way to contact WordPress support?

This is WordPress support. WordPress is free software and this volunteer-staffed forum is the only support resource available via www.remarpro.com.

You could considering hiring someone via https://jobs.wordpress.net/ but to be honest, they’d also need the kind of detail that we’ve been trying to get here.

Hi Esmi, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to imply it wasn’t support. I simply wanted to confirm that I had exhausted all my current resources. I appreciate you, your time, and the fast responses. Best,

It’s OK – I know what you meant. Many people come here looking for a designated or professional WordPress support team. Unfortunately, there’s no such team ??

At the moment, all I can advise is that you go back to your organization and try to unearth who set up the WordPress site and where they set it up. It might also help if you could determine what is being used to generate the current site ‘cos it definitely does not look like WordPress.
