I expressed wrong, this warning is on access.log by nginx, server is on production mode, so no warnings on the frontend.

1142 on 6.2.2. line is, so its related clearly to that warning:

I wrote to support. We had to rollback to version 12.0 to recover the usual behavior. Dont know if that’s its related to your js not being minified or what.

After more than 15 years working with WP I think I know something about it.

So yes I know all that, Stats are broken and not counting. We have several sites with same behaviour, but one of those is boxthislap.org

Not sure if I should look for other alternatives like yoast to generate that xml if as you say, that plugin makes something out of the WP core… what do you think?

plugin is that I linked in the specs in the first post, when it tries to generate sitemap.xml, codesnippets gives that fatal error.

Please remember also fix foreach bug, appears twice and it broke all xml generation. The last post on that thread had the solution.

We have changed to wp core sitemap while you answer us. Apparently a sitemap on GSC takes until 3 days to register pages and post, so cannot lose time after notify this.

I pasted you what you can and what you cannot do to generat sitemaps compatible with GCS. WP core sitemaps and rest of the third part plugins are working like that, why Jetpack no? Please fix it.

Removing and re adding didn’t work. This showed up months ago. Image sitemap doesn’t work in any of the site we have.

Dont mind if works on bing, because 99% of the traffic comes form google.

Its sitemap indexes can't nest. A sitemap-index contains references to sitemaps. 
 
A sitemap-index can't contain references to other sitemap-indexes. 
 
Can submit multipel sitemap indexes to Google, so submit the indexes directly, rather than via another index.
