In reply to: [WordPress Move] Migration comleted successfully but all files not transferedHaving the same issue. It has worked flawlessly on a previous site, but the current one I am trying to migrate (which is a copy of the last one I migrated) and it won’t bring any pages/posts/custom posts/themes/uploads over and only brings about half of the plugins. I have tried to re-run the migration a dozen times and they are all flawed.
Good to know, infrcl. I run Ultimate TinyMCE on every installation and don’t have the option of turning it off. My clients need it. I hope this helps get it fixed.

In reply to: [Black Studio TinyMCE Widget] Disappearing WidgetsI have tried many ways to reproduce this and have failed. I am going to replace the old data from a backup sql I have and move forward.
NOTE: I did use the plugin ‘WordPress Move’ while changing directories of an installation that had BSTW in use, and it transferred seamlessly.

In reply to: [Black Studio TinyMCE Widget] Disappearing WidgetsThe only plugin(s) that i can think of would Ultimate Tinymce and Contact Form 7. Those update pretty frequently and are the only two that upgraded recently as far as I can tell. I would really like to help get this fixed as I like this plugin alot. I will be sending files and data through your form. I understand the difficulty of debugging without reproducing it. I have another installation that has not gone through the updates and I am going to try and reproduce this on that site by updating each plugin one at a time and see what the results are every time. It’s not live and is an almost exact duplicate of one of the ones that got messed up. I will save a copy of the files and data from before and after during that process.

In reply to: [Black Studio TinyMCE Widget] Disappearing Widgetsre-serialization doesn’t work in this case. I don’t have a backup from before updating any plugins anymore. I expected you to say ‘it’s not our plugin’ but I disagree. No other plugin is having this problem and I have used quite a few in the 30+ websites I have using WP. The stock widgets use the same serialization and don’t have this problem. The only changes I have made to the sites this is happening on was to upgrade a few other plugins which I can’t give you the names of as I didn’t notice this had happened at the time of upgrading them. I would be willing to let you in to one of them to take a look if that helps. I have one that is not currently a live website (on a domain) that would be fine to let you in without chancing a live website break.
I can offer access to the site if that helps.
I can see there are many other threads with the exact same issue. Is this being worked on?
This is still broken. I haven’t had a response in 3 months. Has there been any progress?
Any progress?
Sure, there are quite a few. see below.

WP SimpleWeatherI installed WP again using SimpleScripts (like I did for the original install) and only put Post Expirator in. It works fine. It must be a conflicting with another plugin. Please advise.
I installed it manually and installed only this plugin on the same server. It works. I am also going to install a stock version from the SimpleScripts app and install this plugin to see if there is a difference. I believe it is probably not the installer but a conflict with another plugin. But, I will do the second install to be sure.
Unfortunately This site is live and holds a lot of content for a local news station. I could set up another version, but it wouldn’t make a difference because moving everything between them would not be in the client’s budget.
SimpleScripts in iPower’s vDeck. but it installs great. I used to put them in manually because their previous system did a horrible job, but SimpleScripts works great and is no different than manual as far as I can tell.

We have every capability on our server(s) that is needed and more. I doubt it has anything to do with the server. If we need to make an php.ini change, we can do that.I should point out that we are using the ‘Better WP Security’ plugin. It does make changes to permissions and the htaccess file, but it has not been a problem yet with any other plugins I’ve used.
I see future expirations in the log, but when they run they do not expire, and the record is pulled from the cron list.
