Thank you all so much for the help. The suggestions definitely changed the spacing but I am trying to actually decrease a different space. I am trying to remove the extra grass from the bottom of the header (which is directly below my slider). Ideas?

I really like the way you formatted the car thumbnails for your events? What did your settings end up looking like? I want to copy yours!

If I move the slider down, will that increase the space in between the slider and the header? I don’t want extra space anywhere. Trying to reduce as much as possible.

I have looked into the support for goran and found information on reducing the header space (which I had previously done in the past) but not the space under the body content on the front page.

No matter how much I crop the picture horizontally or vertically there is still a large stripe of picture below the slider that I don’t want. So strange.

That cuts down the space below what I am really trying to reduce. I would like to reduce the amount of grass in the photo right above that line of code you gave me. Any ideas?

Are you using firebug to find it? I can’t seem to interpret it.

No, I’m using the Goran theme and it did not come with a Custom CSS option. I had to download the custom css plug in separately.

Does jetpack allow you to customize the blog page?

I have the Custom CSS plug in on my dashboard but I do not know how to manipulate the blog page in my site. It seems to have a mind of its own and doesn’t seem to be formatted using the stylesheet.
