Thanks, thats right i’ve now reverted back to the problematic theme and i desperately want to use that theme so am attempting to clean it up. I’ve added the function you gave earlier to the theme but it hasn’t solved any of the current errors.

Could you take another look at my site and let me know if you can see anything that might help me?

Ok, i’ve moved back to my theme and have 31 errors to deal with. Having read a little bit more about validation, its not the definitive law regarding websites, in fact most websites have validation errors, check google.com or www.remarpro.com to see for yourself.

Which brings me back to my problems, i still have a lot of validation errors and my blog page sidebar is still at the bottom of the page.

Any ideas?

Thanks Abhishek but none of the errors were related to what you said, they were from a unnecessary border=0 tag on an affiliate image link. I’m down to one error now.

Can you explain what “Check that “Proudly powered by WordPress” – it will reduce one error” means? Check it for what?

Ok, i’ve reverted back to 2011 and have only 2 errors now, just can’t figure out to solve it.

Also, why do you think the affilotheme was not complete, it seemed to be working fine.

I only changed theme a few days ago and need to keep it, is there any way of keeping the current theme and fixing the problems?

Ok, got it. I can remove it using the first example you gave by using the page id. This is preferable too because i may want some page that use this custom template to have a nav.

The page i am working on is not live yet as its unfinished. I’ve looked in header.php but can’t find anything like that code.

I’m using affilotheme although i don’t think there are much difference, i would be surprised if people knew this theme. If not, can you tell me how to do it with twentyeleven and i can work it from there.

Solved, almost. Its a permalink issue with wordpress. Not sure why but /%postname%/ is not working anymore. Every other permalink works apart from the postname.

Removed all unused plugins but still no joy.

This is actually the second issue i’ve had today on my site. The first issue was trying to add pages to a parent page. I could add a parent page for every page except one. When i gave the final page a parent, it would only show the image and not any text. I had to give up and leave the final page alone in the end. Strange problems.

I haven’t added any new plugins today so not sure how it could be them. In fact, there are only 3 active plugins on the entire site. I have deactivated all of them and still am getting the error.

I think i will delete any unused plugins to see if that works. I don’t really want to switch to twentyeleven if possible.

Did you fine which font to use? I’m having the same problem

Fairly basic error there, apologies. All changed and working relatively normal now.
