The SEO plugin is ‘AIOSEO’ but I agree with it, the meta description should not be so long.

From what I have read it’s the theme, not any plugin, forcing the excerpt issue. I figured there must be a setting somewhere, like ‘Manual meta descriptions’ checkbox or something, but seems there isn’t, at least not with this theme.

Update – I’m using the ‘Astra’ theme, and I’ve just read somewhere that even if you edit the functions.php file this thing will still force, shove, install and otherwise cram in a massive unwanted ‘excerpt’ against my will.

Well I’ve semi-solved it by adding the headline to that ‘add block’ section and then deleting the original headline. Which left a huge space above so I then deleted the header again.

It’s not exactly how I want it but it will do I guess.

Well the plugin people were able to go in and figure out the problem and it seems to be working OK with 5.1 now.

The error logs made it easy to avoid any arguing or debate, could just show them and they could fix it, so thanks!

Found an error log thingy. Lots of text; should I paste it all here?

Actually rather than clog this site up I’ll send it as a notepad file to the plugin developers, as I guess they’re the ones that will have to figure out how to fix it.

Sorry if I seem grumpy but getting really sick of phone, Windows and now website updates that wreck things that WERE working fine, before being “updated”.

I totally agree with the poster. It’s a horrible user-experience to demand that a new client, who just wants to be friendly and upload a photo, must instead be told to go away and upload it on some other website?

And then, whenever he posts anything, anywhere, on any WP blog, it will post his or her photo? That’s not a feature, that’s a bug, and totally unprofessional.

Can you at least give an option to use cartoon avatars, or let us remove the option entirely, rather than having ugly blank placeholders everywhere?

No, you misread me, I’m asking how to change the text on the displayed invoice, which seems similar to that in the email.

Having looked closer it’s not exactly the same text, so I need to find that setting…

But it’s 3am here so maybe tomorrow ??

Oh my goodness..

I have such a long headline that my headline looked like part of the text inside the app. I could see the setting for the “dashboard” but didn’t see the setting directly below it!

A couple of other points

1. It no longer seems to be sending emails? The first 2 worked, since then it seems to have stopped?

2. How to edit the text, saying “We have sent you invoice *number with a balance of $X”?

Would editing the email that seems to say the same thing work?

Can’t really use it, as it insists on using my home page to display invoices!

I cannot find anywhere to change this. Reinstalling doesn’t give me any options.

If I put:

[wp-invoice]

on any other page it doesn’t work.

I can get the “dashboard” to display on a different page but despite creating 2 invoices it still shows “No invoices found”

I’n using the latest WP install.

Update – and if you do get it working, the Paypal page presented to the user is in German… :o?
