Thank you so much I would really appreciate you taking a look as I love the plugin.

I’ve just reinstalled it and it’s live.

I noticed that the share buttons show up on all Posts, but there are times when a Post is actually a landing page (via another plugin) so I don’t want the share buttons to come up on the landing pages.

Is there any way to add a line of code that will exclude the share buttons from a landing page? All landing pages have the prefix earthandsea.com.au/go so this is a way to differentiate between a normal post and a landing page.

Here’s an example page where I would prefer not to have the share buttons show up:

Hi Jeremy

I downloaded the WordPress.com version of Spun as instructed.
The share button issue is still present with the WordPress.com version, and I can’t add my logo to the header.

So I’ve reverted to the Spun theme that I installed via www.remarpro.com.

Not sure how we can resolve the share button issue. I may need to investigate changing themes if I can’t offer a share button ?? I really love Spun, so hoping we can work out a way to resolve the issue.

I did notice that when I hover over the share button the end of the URL is as follows:

earthandsea.com.au/unplug/?share=pinterest&nb=1

Not sure if the ?share=pinterest&nb=1 part of the URL has anything to do with the issue?

thanks for your reply.

The difficulty connecting Twitter & LinkedIn appears to have resolved itself after I deactivated JetPack and reactivated.

Could you try to deactivate the plugin adding the arrows used to navigate to older posts? It might be what’s causing the issue.

The navigational arrows are a part of the theme.

If that doesn’t help, could you try switching to one of the default themes for a few minutes and let me know if the problem remains?

I activated Twenty Fourteen and the share buttons are working. So it seems to be a theme/plugin conflict.

Any ideas how I can resolve this? Do I need to contact the theme developer?

If I was to create a plain white background image and load to the template image folder, can I simply delete any references to the image in the template.css file? Or do I need to update the code in a better way?

I was going to delete this section of the code and hope that it resolved my issue! .nimble-portfolio-rollerbg{background-image:url(images/pitemlbg.png);background-repeat:no-repeat;width:216px;height:217px;display:block;background-position:top}

I don’t know code very well, but I can follow instructions very easily.

I discovered a solution in another thread…

Add in this line of code to the start of the file: nimble-portfolio/includes/prettyphoto/prettyPhoto.css

}

Ok, seems another Google search helped me solve my comments on home page answer!

I read a previous thread about disabling comments and didn’t realise there’s an “ALLOW COMMENTS” check box when you do a quick edit of a page.

So this post solved my problem entirely!

Although I’ve had a conversation with myself, I must say that the support of the WordPress forums is amazing.

I’m likely to be asking questions in the future, but I feel like I’m in great hands!

Caroline, I think a Pinterest option for the Spun theme would ROCK! Next update perhaps ?? hahaha

Hi again!

I’ve resolved part 2 of my question.

The social sharing icons were under APPEARANCE>CUSTOMIZE>CONNECT! Didn’t see it until now!!

Is there any way to add Pinterest to these options?

Still hoping that my query regarding removing comments from the home page can be answered.

Hi there,

I just downloaded Social Stickers Version 2.2.1 and think I have a bug.

In Settings>Social Stickers>General I selected Circle Media in the Pick Your Theme dropdown box and was directed to Omnisearch in the Jetpack plugin.

I can’t save the Circle Media theme as I keep going from the Pick Your Theme option to Omnisearch each time I select an option.
