In reply to: [Twenty Twelve] Leave Reply above h1Alcymyth, thanks very much, I haven’t tried this yet, I am slowly learning but obviously that will be an easy fix. The reason I didn’t try and fix it myself is I thought I must have messed up somewhere else, because I couldn’t believe that it would be intentional/sensible to have a comments option before the post had been read! (spit out before you taste) Thanks again, Earl

In reply to: [Newsletter - Send awesome emails from WordPress] Hardcoding WidgetHi Stefano,
Thanks very much for that I succeeded in getting the widget into my custom sidebar, but I can’t get the css format working for it:
I want the form on the about us page top look like the form on the homepage. The reason I don’t just use the wordpress widget system is I don’t want the widget on the homepage.
I tried adding the css from widget-neutral.css to my childtheme css, and added the button to the folder, but it didn’t really work out,
Any suggestions (thanks again for your previous help too), Earl

In reply to: [Twenty Twelve] Leave Reply above h1Hi Alcymyth,
thanks for that, I’ve sorted the H1 issue, but am still getting ‘leave reply’ above the post.
I’ve overwritten the files below in my child theme with fresh ones from 20/12 to ensure of original scripts, but the problem is still there, any suggestions? Thanks again, Earl
content.php, content-page.php single.php

In reply to: Image Linking 404 FTPThanks esmi,
Yes, I have checked, they are in a folder I created in the root directory https://storiesoflondon.org/images/
should I move the folder to somewhere else on the site (e.g. uploads)?
I uploaded another image via WP admin, and that doesn’t 404 when I click on it, but really need to do it via ftp as the site has a lot of image,
regards, Earl

In reply to: [Twenty Twelve] Site Title And Tagline on Same LineHi alchymyth, the url is – https://onlineprinting.org.uk/ –
I’m trying to get the title and the tagline all within the same vertical space i.e. the two lines of text being within the same height as the site banner h1, (BTW I am using a childtheme) Thanks for responding, Earl

In reply to: [Column Shortcodes] Columns aligning at the top@J9leepea – thanks very much for that – I solved the problem. For anyone who is interested the problem for me was that I inserted the shortcodes via the visual editor which added ‘code’ tags, when I removed these the alignment was ok. I may not use this plugin anyway though, as on testing it in iPhone view it doesn’t look good using a responsive theme, but many thanks again J9leepea. Earl`

In reply to: [Column Shortcodes] Columns aligning at the top@J9leepea, thanks very much for that, but the shortcodes syntax don’t show up in inspect element/view source, could I be cheeky and ask for the code from the actual page in visual/text editor from wp admin? Regards, Earl

In reply to: [Column Shortcodes] Columns aligning at the topHi @kathydv, did you fix the problem? I’ve got the same problem, but, I have no <p> tags either – I also tried adding some outside the code tags but no joy, Earl

In reply to: [Subscribe2 - Form, Email Subscribers & Newsletters] Can't get plugin working@mattyrob, apologies, and many thanks for that – sorted.
I want to replace the text “Your email:” with something else,
and also get rid of the unsubscribe text
and also alter the “subscribe’ on the button to ‘follow us’,
but I haven’t found the decalrations in the .php files, should I be looking in .js files?
Thanks Earl
