Problem solved.

I had the following setting wrong:

Events / Settings / Pages / Event List-Archive / Event page.

Once I changed this – all went to the correct date.

All – I figured it out.
My subfolder at host starts with a CAPITAL letter….. I kept entering the website/subfolder without CAPITAL letter.
So…. “abc.com/subfolder” did not work… but… “abc.com/Subfolder” did work.
Learnt something again.
