In reply to: Problem displaying link list on my siteOK also tried Social Sharing Toolkit, which ended up causing even more issues with the site. Now even when not logged in the links page would break.

In reply to: Problem displaying link list on my siteI’m sorry, what is eShop?
I just tested another plugin TF Social Share – the same thing happens there too by the way.

In reply to: Problem displaying link list on my siteEsmi, can you recommend one please? The one I’ve been using looks/works exactly how I want it to.
Is there a good plugin which can share to multiple sites? not just fb but twitter and g+ and etc perhaps?
Obviously that’s not a technical fix, rather avoiding the conflict. Would be nice if someone can chime in with a technical solution too.

In reply to: Problem displaying link list on my siteI’m sorry about the typo above, the new function I’m using is wp_list_bookmarks();
Still haven’t resolved the slideshow issue.
If I use a gallery tag the thing works fine and gives me the option to switch to slideshow which works fine. Just using the [ slideshow ] tag doesn’t work anymore at all.
Mxfarsa, it doesn’t make sense that all those directories need to be writable by the public. In my opinion this workaround mau pose a security risk. Also this hasn’t fixed all problems.
Sideshow function still doesn’t work for me.
mxfarsa, that didn’t make the Slideshow work.
Is anyone reading this using the slideshow function?
Can you please specify the exact code you’re using?
mxfarsa, which files did you change the permission for? All of them?
Yeah, I’ll give it some time for now. I don’t want to deal with the upgrade nag constantly on due to the older version.
In the meantime maybe someone else will have the same problem as me and figure out a workaround. I’ve avoided the breaking CSS problem now so the site at least looks ok even though some functionality went down.
Thanks for your help so far Alex, I really like your plugin, just ranted earlier out of frustration. Got things to do now, I’ll check in later to see if anything has been resolved.
The odd thing is if you follow the links above you’ll see the “gallery” has a function to view as slideshow. That seems to work fine.
I’ve tried all sorts of variations of the slideshow tag, can’t get it to work on my site. Any help is appreciated.
Alex, done, it didn’t fix the situation.
I found out that it was the imagebrowser function which was breaking the CSS of my site.
[imagebrowser=3]
worked fine in individual post view but it pretty much caused a major issue when in category view. Not sure the problem there is entirely due to the plugin but definitely worked prior to upgrading NGG.I’m trying to figure out how to make the slideshow work again. The following code used to work before, now it does nothing:
[slideshow id=3 w=500 h=500]
Alex, I’ve now manually removed and brought back all files from fresh ftp upload after downloading the .zip file from the plugin page. It’s safe to say it wasn’t the upgrade which broke it.
Example of the plugin breaking the category view on my site:

The guilty post:
Same here… this upgrade broke my theme, the slideshow tag no longer displays properly.
This is not the first time this plugin has required excessive attention upon upgrading during minor revisions. I like it when it works but it’s almost becoming not worth the trouble due to the maintenance required with running it.

In reply to: Jetpack error xml_rpc-32700I had the same problem, had do specifically disable wpstats to get jetpack to connect. Later Jetpack automatically brought up stats which now looks different than it used to before.
