We have engaged [email protected] and haven’t received a reply since April 13th. We are still unable to use this plugin and need some support. We still experience the same error and have 11000+ users impacted by this since we have the plugin installed on several of our 103 blog sites. I would really like to have some movement on this issue. The issue is NOT resolved. PLEASE ADVISE.

In reply to: [User Role Editor] How to allow admins to grant admin permissions to othersThank you. It’s working now!
Thanks for the feedback jbroner212. Were you ever able to figure out how to get past the error message?

In reply to: [User Role Editor] How to allow admins to grant admin permissions to othersThank you for the information. Where/how do I add this custom filter? Apologies, I’m new with this plugin. I looked briefly through documentation and did a web search, but I couldn’t find any information on adding custom filters. Thank you!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Version 7.2 update broke my linksThis also broke the http > https redirects for my site as well. Everything worked fine until sometime this morning. However – my links were broken BEFORE the 7.2 update was applied. In troubleshooting the failed redirect issue we noticed that there was an update available for the Yoast SEO plugin (7.1 – 7.2). Once we applied the update the http > https redirect issue was resolved. I’ve never experienced a scenario where simply having an update available for a plugin caused impact before. This is very odd indeed.

In reply to: [wpDirAuth] Disabled directory listing – Now no domain users can login.I was able to resolve the issue by copying the wpdirauth.php file from our DR instance (it had not yet been updated) to the live server and dropping it in /data/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wpdirauth
Once I did that users are now able to login again. I think something with the recent update fubar’d things. Our network admin/plugins page now show 1.9.4 installed. We will wait to hear back from you before performing any plugin updates. Thanks.

In reply to: [wpDirAuth] Disabled directory listing – Now no domain users can login.I put it in the wordpress directory with the rest of the php files, but I’m not sure how you would like me to run it. I tried to pull it up in a browser and got a 500 error.
I’m also not seeing where to get the 1.9.4 version. All download links I’ve found resolve to the newer version we already have installed.

In reply to: [wpDirAuth] Disabled directory listing – Now no domain users can login. Thanks for the fast response –
I’m on version 1.10.1 – If an update was pushed today that would explain a little more. I did perform plugin updates prior to the dir listing change. Things were good prior to the plugin updates. Both changes happened at approx 4:45pm today PST.
The error I provided was what I’m seeing for my particular login, every single user is getting the same message for their domain user.
I’ve modified the LDAP test file. I’ve uploaded it to my home folder. My apologies for the confusion here, but where should I put this file were I will be able to visit the page? I’m in no way an expert at this. Thanks!

In reply to: [wpDirAuth] Disabled directory listing – Now no domain users can login.FYI – I am able to connect to the ldap server on 636 successfully using apache directory studio and the same credentials used in the WpDirAuth settings. I wonder if this could be a folder permissions issue? I’m not sure what else to look at at this point.
Thanks

Please disregard –
This issue has been solved. Turns out that the users email alias was not the same as their SAM Account name (email address contained a v- at the beginning). I was able to look her up in AD and used the correct SAM Account name to finally get her added. Thank you for your help.
Thank you for the quick reply. We only use one external LDAP hostname. There are multiple AD controllers, yes, but this issue seems to be exclusive to wpdirauth. We use many different external systems that resolve users via LDAP settings using the same settings and those are not impacted by this issue. Unfortunately I cannot test using the apache directory studio using the users credentials because I only have the username, not the password and our policy will not allow me to get the password. I WAS able to configure directory studio to successfully connect using my domain credentials however, for whatever that is worth. Any additional suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

In reply to: [HTML Post Editor] Saving as draft clears all HTML dataThanks for the response. If this has always been the case with this plugin, I’m not sure why so many users are requesting help at this time. I will pass on the info you provided and see if that resolves their issues. Thanks

In reply to: [HTML Post Editor] Saving as draft clears all HTML dataI have created a video and uploaded it to google drive. you should be able to view it. See the following link – https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B82OAGd2io2RTWJBaXoyeE5WSXc/view
This should show you what I mean. Thanks again for the assistance! Here is a link to a video showing exactly what behavior I’m seeing – Thanks!
https://youtu.be/Vg-gA-Ln2R0That did the trick. Looks like I was just performing the wrong action (“Add DirAuth user” as opposed to “add existing user”) Thank you for the help.
