It’s a page I own/created from my personal profile so I’m an Admin by default (I confirmed that it shows me as an Admin too). Oddly, it seems to only be my personal profile and pages I did NOT create/own that I can publish to. I assume I only have Editor status on all those pages. Is it possible that there’s a bug disabling publicize options for pages that you are an Admin for? I would try changing my own status to Editor just to see if that works but I’m afraid I won’t be able to change myself back to an Admin.
Hey Jeremy, no, I don’t use Facebook Business Manager and all pages are published and publicly available. The page I’m trying to connect is:
https://www.facebook.com/DyingSceneNews/
Publicize was working on it a week ago before the trouble began.
Thanks for digging in, @jeherve. Still not working but made an interesting (hopefully helpful) discovery. In the connect window that pops up from the URL you provided, I only see some, but not all of the Pages my profile manages. Oddly enough, the pages it shows are for pages that other users have granted me editor access to, but not the pages that were created by my own profile. For context, I run a blog and a record label. All the bands on my label that have granted me editor access for I see in the publicize pop-up window as options, but the pages for my blog (where I want to be publicizing to) and my record label are not showing up.
@jeherve I am getting the window that gives me the choice to publicize to my profile or one of my pages but even though I opt to publicize as one of my pages, the setting doesn’t seem to stick, and it will only connect and share as my profile page. I’ve disconnected and removed the wordpress app on FB multiple times but the outcome is always the same. Can you help?
