It worked. I deleted all the events and then the categories, then created a new event and gave it a new category. Now the filter box is back to normal. So thanks for that, but do you have any idea how to avoid this happening again? Was there something I did wrong in the importation process?
Event categories are enabled, but I did import a lot of events from another site, I don’t remember importing event categories, but they have all appeared as in the other site
Well, you’re right – I can add audio and video to a portfolio post. But I was thinking of somehow not having ‘portfolio’ in the slug at all. They’re not really portfolios, I’d like each post to have a video and audio version of talk, and have custom fields to add speakers and the date the talk was given on, maybe some other things too.
I’ve tried to use the Custom Content Type Manager : Advanced Custom Post Types plugin but it just seems to get beyond me.
It does sound the wordpress core is moving in this direction so I’ll look forward to more features being added to custom content types
This sounds great. I guess there must be a load of ideas about what’s next with this – can vote for some sort of custom content that showcases video and audio?

In reply to: [Enhanced Media Library] Missing search boxI have the same problem – it’s caused by the size of the window. If the window get below a certain width (not sure exactly what width) the search box vanishes, expand the window again and it re-appears.
Firebug seems to be saying that the search box has floated way over to the right (when the window is below that certain size) but it is under the media-sidebar so it isn’t visible. CSS problem?

In reply to: [List category posts] list more than one custom post fieldI’ve come across a workaround that will do for me, here’s the link:

In reply to: [Custom Content Type Manager] Custom Content Type Manager add mediaWell, I’m not sure what’s happened here, but deactivating and reactivating all the plugins seems to have cured it! The ‘add media’ button still works with everything active. I wasn’t imagining it, honest

In reply to: [Custom Content Type Manager] Custom Content Type Manager add mediaHi Fireproof
Up to date on both plugin and wordpress, but I’ve just deactivated all my other plugins and it now works, ‘add media’ does indeed add media, I’ll do some investigation and let you know which plugin is causing the problem

In reply to: [WP FullCalendar] I want to display the excerpt in the tooltip…Thanks for that, the custom placeholder worked really well.

In reply to: [WP FullCalendar] I want to display the excerpt in the tooltip…Thanks for that,I didn’t realise you could edit the tooltip.
But the code isn’t working. For some reason Carolina’s code gives a 75×75 space for the image but no image, and the full content. If I create a manual excerpt then the excerpt is displayed but I’d rather not do that for every event
And the #_EVENTNOTES{20} is giving the full content.
Any ideas?
Groan! How embarrassing! Thanks

In reply to: [WP FullCalendar] I want to display the excerpt in the tooltip…Yep, this calendar looks great, but displaying all the content makes it look just a bit silly! Anyone know what to edit in the plugin files to change the content to the excerpt?
Yep, tried all that – I deactivated all the other plugins, no success, then switched to the default theme, again no success. I deleted events manager (and all the plugin files from the plugins folder) but still I can’t choose which day of the week the event recurs on.
Of course, it may be that I’m completely bonkers and I’ve missed something incredibly obvious, so here’s a link to a screenshot that shows what I mean

In reply to: [Plugin: Events Manager] Featured image link to event pageSorry, I’m really getting this. In
<a href="#_EVENTURL">your image</a>
, what is ‘your image’? I’d been uploading images as featured images, so does it mean<a href="#_EVENTURL">#_EVENTIMAGE{x,y}</a>
?
