I wonder why didn’t WordPress ran a test? You could have let users choose between a Gutenberg or Non-Gutenberg version of WordPress. And, then it would have been clear that most WordPress users are not a fan of Gutenberg. Dutch webmaster forums are stuffed with people complaining about Gutenberg, ever since it came out. Plugin makers don’t seem to keep up, some of the most popular plugins do not work well with Gutenberg. The classic editor plugin has 5 stars, the Gutenberg editor has 2 stars. I have the idea that some important people at the WordPress Foundation liked the WIX sitebuilder and made a bad copy of it. And, they are not looking at the community at all. In my opinion, Gutenberg is not the future of WordPress, it is the end of WordPress.

My response was most inappropriate.
After hours of working on a website, I downloaded and activated a3 Lazy Load.
Seeing a parse/syntax error kind of pissed me off.
I guess I forgot the netiquette rules. My apologies.

On all my servers, with different hosting, web-, reseller- and VPS hosting, I run PHP 7 and higher. It’s faster and more stable. So, that doesn’t seem to be the problem.
I just test your plugin again, with PHP version 7.2, I can not reproduce the error.
It is not showing up anymore. Maybe something was wrong with my hosting, a cache plugin produced the error or there was a conflict with another plugin.

Anyway, if you tell me how I can change my WordPress rating for your plugin, I will change it.

I updated the rating because I should have asked for support first, it’s 5 stars now.

I am starting to wonder what is going on.
Why not do a rollback? Who is leading the ‘investigation’ on GitHub? Mr Magoo?

I think it’s not practical at all.
When I need a plugin or a theme, I always use Google.
I am sure a lot of people agree that the internal search option could be much better.

Yes, that is why I posted this request here, I don’t think Matt Mullenweg would answer my emails.

Why would it not be useful?
Now we get to see all kinds of plugins and themes, some of worse always popup first. 1 star, 2 downloads and when one scrolls down or goes to the next page, the best plugins or themes show up.
By searching for the amount of stars or downloads, one knows that a plugin or theme is wanted or not, good or bad.

Nice way to get some free backlinks, guys. Beetje zielig.

Seeing the same thing, on many different sites and servers.
Saving as concept sometimes helps.

BTW, I love the changes made in the last versions!
Some people are bashing Yoast and Joost himself, but I think the changes are great.

How can I reduce those images? Some of those images aren’t even images, just click on it and I get a 404 notification…

You get a 404 because the entire URL’s is not shown in Jake.WpSupport’s post. Use FTP, download the images by name and edited them for the web, some are in the wrong format, they are too big.

SEO is a mater of time. Yoast SEO is installed, you have some backlinks, your using social media and your website is very new. It might take months to bypass the compatition. The only option is well aimed Facebook advertisement, maybe bing ad’s and if you have a large budget, Google Adword. Focus at local SEO.

I wish I had some more time to help, but I am behind with my projects, I lost 10 hours getting your website online and making it faster.
Most large Dutch websites are even slower. Ask your host if he can upgrade your hosting account, varnish cache and a SSL VPS.
