That’s not true as I had exactly this problem with permalink and the mod_rewrite. And further this thread was fresh.

I’ve found the couse. I needet aso in the Cadegorie place to add /index.php/. Then it worked smoothly.

I’ve wonderes too why no one has being answering. But probably it’s still Easter Time for some of the Members ??

But this does not solve the problem for the Categarie base only for the Permalink.

To be honest I have no idea and cn’t answer you. Please could you help me navigate to the right place where I could have a look at to find out mod_rewrtie is installed?

I’ve changed under Option/Permalink the entry to /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/. When I reload my test site on my Notebook I see that the Permalink is nice and tidy (e.g. https://localhost/<myblogname>/2005/05/01/firstarticle/). But clicking on it brings an Error saying that The requested URL /<myblogname>/2005/05/01/firstarticle/ was not found on this server. Probably I have something missing in my Apache or PHP Installation.

Can please those cracks on Server Theme give me a help Where I have to look for What?
