I don’t think it’s a Divi Theme problem because I’ve tried a number of themes with the same result. I’ll contact the Divi support team anyway simply because I’ve run out of ideas and options. Thanks.

I’m having a similar problem. My images show up on individual posts, but on the home page the boxes remain blank. The titles show up, but the images do not. I’ve tried optimizing the images in Photoshop and even reducing them to a quite small size with no positive effect. Is the problem a Hitchcock theme one or a WordPress one? If I can’t solve this problem, I’ll be forced to try another theme.

    Thanks!

I am not using a feedburner plugin. I’ve gone in to the feedburner troubleshooting screen, but there are so many options that I can’t tell which one might apply. From my computer, the rss feed does not work, but does on my other blog.

I am using the Thesis theme. Would that have any effect on my ability to drag the RKE widget to the sidebar? In three browsers, I get the following results:

    1. Internet Explorer – the RKE widget won’t drag at all

    2. Opera – the RKE widget drags and drops into the sidebar (in Appearance-Widget on the Dashboard) but does not show up on the page

    3. Firefox – the RKE widget drags and drops into the sidebar (Appearance-Widget on the Dashboard) but does not show up on the page

    Thanks for your help,

Thanks for both answers. I am uneasy about messing around with code. Where can I go to learn how to edit the 404.php? Is there a good tutorial that you are aware of?

It turns out that this was a WordPress matter, after all. I changed my permalink structure–simplified to the post name only–and now the Calendar and Archives widgets work just fine.

Even so, I still don’t like the Gnarly-dude 404 message and would like to strangle its drafter, it’s publisher, and anyone else involved with its creation. What a classless message. It would have been just as easy to have created something less offensive, a message that you wouldn’t have to change.

I still haven’t figured out whether I should contact WordPress or Thesis, but I have placed the Archives and Calendar widgets on my blog (https://1stSpanish.com) so that the problem can be viewed. The Archives widget still gives the Gnarly-dude 404 message. The Calendar works fine as long as you stay in the current month, but when you go back to previous months, the offensive message appears. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I’ve been to Thesis, and they say it’s a WordPress problem. Their advice was to enter the WordPress forums, so that’s why I’m here. Is there any way to determine which is correct?
