I just looked into my host provider’s default PHP version and found it to be 5.2. After updating to the latest version everything works fine. I didn’t know I could manually update PHP within my cPanel. Old dogs can learn new tricks.

Thanks. I decided to support you and your work, so bought the pro version. I’m using the latest version of WP Bakery (formally known and Visual Composer) There are 3 versions of editing… the “Front End” the “Back End”, and the “Classic”. The classic is more or less a text editor, where I can include the short code. If I save my work in the classic editor all C-O-M and C-P-M works. If I go to the other editors and save my work, my shortcode to expand a gallery of instruments:
    [expand title=” …show more instruments… ” swaptitle=”… show fewer instruments …”] gets saved as:
    [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][expand title=” …show more instruments… ” swaptitle=”… show fewer instruments …”][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

    Similarly:
    [/expand]
    is saved as:
    [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][/expand][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Whatever the reason, behind the scenes, VC breaks the collapse/expand. I figured out that I just have to go back to the Classical editor EVERY time I use the Back or Front End editor and remove the added code. I don’t know if others have ever had this problem, of if I’m doing some stupid newbie mistake and cobbling together a work-around, but I’m about 99% happy with the results. The last niggling little thing is that all elements within the expanded gallery are shifted a few pilexs to the right, making the margins just slightly off. It’s probably more likely it’s the responsive coding than C-O-M though.

I may log on to your site later and see if I can get help on that last thing. Thanks for your work though. Collapse-Pro-Matic really works!
