I’ve reinstalled the whole program for wp 2.0.1, but comment numbers do not show. I switched to a new theme, but it made no difference. Please advise.

I’ve heard about the new release of K2, which will support 2.0. I’ll upgrade as soon as it comes out. Thanks. Otherwise everything seems to be working…

It was suggested in other support answers regarding comment admission problems. ANd the error here claims post author as the query which failed. I meant I changed the post author name. But changing the name has not improved the problem. I’m stumped. I even switched themes to see if that might highliht something. Last week my theme comments file got corrupted and I had to re upload it. Thanks for any suggestions. David

I am having the same problem with 1.5.2. It was working until a weeks ago. Nothing has changed. A few notifications trickled through for a few days, and now no comment emails come through.

Has anyone figured this out? There seem to be a lot of folks with the same problem, which would rule out a weird server situation. i wish someone in wordpress who knows the code would help out here. tell us what files have the code to send a notification email.

Also, my host is claiming the code to send notification is missing. I don’t know where they found this problem. I’m waiting for an answer from them as well.

I am the admin and my email address contains my domain name, but I don’t get emails when comments are posted, even when posted by me. No comments are in moderation, all show on the site. but no emails arrive. a week ago I was getting them and they suddenly stopped. nothing has changed.

I am not getting email notification, even though I am the authro and have checked the proper box. I was getting comments until a few weeks ago. which file contains the code to notify the author. I think it has been corrupted.

Was this ever resolved? Is there a hack/plugin? If so, I’d like to have it!

The delay is now worse (I don’t think it’s affected by the long list of pings) Now I have to shut down my browser, then open it again to save changes to a new or old post. Basically it crashes everytime I post.
