    Hey @aimforawesome,

First off, I’m really sorry to hear about the frustration you experienced with our plugin. That’s definitely not the impression we want to leave you with.

Let me clarify a bit about how WPForms Lite operates regarding form entries. In the Lite version, form entries aren’t stored by default. However, we do offer the option to set up email notifications for each form submission. This way, you can receive all submitted entries directly to your email inbox. We understand it’s not as intuitive as having a built-in entry storage feature, and for that inconvenience, we apologize.

Here’s a tutorial that walks you through setting up email notifications. With Lite, you can set up one notification email, but you can send it to multiple email addresses if needed.

Additionally, enabling the Lite Connect option will back up your entries for future access. So, if you ever decide to upgrade to WPForms Pro, you’ll have the option to restore your entries and access detailed reports.

If you have any further questions or need assistance setting up your email notifications or exploring other features, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our WPForms support forum. Our team is here to help you get the most out of WPForms.

Again, we’re sorry for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused. We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to improve our plugin and support experience.

    Regards!

    Hi @webrightmow,

Thank you for sharing more clear feedback.

You’re right. WPForms Lite doesn’t have the feature to create multiple notifications. While it’s not available to create multiple notifications in the Lite version, you can send the same notification to multiple recipients. In the Send To section of the notification settings, you can add multiple recipient email addresses by separating them with a comma.

    I hope it helps.

    Regards!

    Hi @webrightnow,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with email delivery.?

To troubleshoot the issue, you can check that your form notification settings are configured correctly by following our tutorial.

If your notification settings are correct, the issue is likely because the emails sent from WordPress are not authenticated (unlike emails sent directly from dedicated email service providers). As a result, they are likely to be filtered by the receiving mail server.

In order to authenticate the emails sent through your website, the best solution is to use an SMTP plugin (that’s why we recommend it). That way, you’ll ensure all your emails are being sent successfully.

We have an article with a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi @razmandrew,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We really appreciate all insights that can help us improve and I’m sorry that you found the admin notifications intrusive. I’ve shared your feedback with our internal team.

Please know, that most of these notifications are intended to educate end users about helpful features that are available in the paid version that they can leverage to get the most out of WPForms. You’ll notice that some of the notifications are about newly released features that have been requested a lot, we get so excited about these features that we cannot keep the information to ourselves.

Additionally, if you find the cost high, we have some information to share about it as well, which can help you decide whether the upgrade is worth it or not. You can find it here: https://wpforms.com/is-wpforms-worth-it/

I hope this helps to clarify. And if you’d like more help with using WPForms Lite, please feel welcome to post in our?WPForms Lite support forum.

    Thank you.

    Hi @josekun,

Thank you for taking the time to leave your honest feedback, and I apologize for any inconvenience. Please allow me to share more details on how you can get form submissions using the WPForms Lite.

Entries in WPForms Lite(free version) are not stored by default. However,?for the users who prefer to stick with the free version, it is recommended that they leverage the Email notification feature so that entries can be managed via email. Please know that you should be able to set up form notification emails in WPForms Lite so that?you will receive the entries submitted by your users. Here’s the?tutorial with all the details.?In Lite, you’re able to set up one notification email — however, you can send this one notification to as many different email addresses as you’d like.

Enabling the?Lite Connect?option?will back up the entries submitted through your forms for the future. This means that if you decide to upgrade to WPForms Pro, you can restore your entries and have instant access to reports.

If you are not receiving the email notifications, I’ll recommend you to check that your form notification settings are configured correctly by following our tutorial.

To resolve email delivery issues like this, you can configure an SMTP plugin on your site so that emails are sent as authenticated. We have an article with a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.

In case this helps, you might be able to retrieve data from previous submissions by contacting your site’s hosting provider to ask if they are able to retrieve the undelivered emails through the email logs, just so you can at least have the information.

And if you’d like more help with the email delivery issue or using WPForms Lite in general, please feel welcome to post in our WPForms Lite support forum.

    Hi @nudnavda,

We appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback about WPForms Lite, and I’ve shared your thoughts with our team. It’s always helpful to get details like this.

    Thanks!

    Hi?@nudnavda,

I would like to take a second to share with you exactly what has happened, as I believe it’s very important that you know exactly what is happening on your website.

Whenever you run the WP Mail SMTP setup wizard, the third step (labeled “Which email features do you want to enable?”) gives you a number of options to enable or disable. If you keep the Smart Contact Form and WordPress SEO Toolkit options enabled, as mentioned in the last highlighted item in the screenshot above, the WPForms and AIOSEO plugins will be installed (for free).

Kindly note that you do have the option to disable these and?skip the installation of those plugins?as we understand that you may have other options enabled that you would prefer to use over these, however, we simply aim to provide an ecosystem of great tools that work together to help to take your website to the next level, and we apologize if this was too intrusive.

In case it helps, you may uninstall these plugins by going to Plugins > All Plugins and disabling then deleting each from the list.

Again, I would like to thank you so much for your understanding, and for your additional thoughts on this. We definitely see things from your perspective, and we take none of it for granted.

With that in mind, I was wondering, based on your usage, if you had any specific thoughts on how we could improve this wizard. We’ve been discussing the workflow internally, and I think a user’s outlook would be very valuable to any improvements that we could make here.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hey?@nudnavda,

Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback!

We apologize for any confusion with the AIO SEO recommendation within WPForms Lite. We do not install any of our plugins unless you choose to do this during the setup. It’s definitely not our intention to cause any trouble for users! I’ve passed this thread on to the rest of the team for further review.

If there is any specific area during the setup process that confused you and led you to install AIO SEO, please do share the details about it on the?WPForms Lite www.remarpro.com Support?forum.

I apologize again for the trouble!

    Thanks!

    Hi @patrickttt,

I apologize if this created any confusion.

As I shared above, entries in WPForms Lite are not stored by default. We do mention this on our entries page as well.

If you have any suggestions on how we can better clarify this, please let me know and I’ll share those with our team. Here’s a screenshot with our current wording from the Lite Entries page and the option to enable Lite Connect.

Again, I’m so sorry that the experience was not up to par, and if you have any additional questions or thoughts that could help us with improving this, be sure to let us know.

    Thanks!

    Hi @patricktttt,

I am sorry to hear that you are still facing issues with the Email delivery.

My previous suggestion was to check and ensure the notification settings of your forms are correct. If all of your notification settings look correct, and you’re still seeing delivery issues, this can result from a broader email issue. Please see the explanation of the issue below:

Why doesn’t WordPress seem to send emails?
As spam gets worse (and more clever), ISPs and email service providers tighten their restrictions. We’re seeing that they are starting to block and/or spam many emails that previously would have gone through and been delivered with no issues. This often includes WordPress emails.

When you send an email directly from Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, or similar services, that email is “verified” that it’s legit and did indeed come from that source.

By default, when your web server sends an email (which by proxy includes WordPress and WPForms), that email is not authenticated or verified. Instead, it is sent anonymously on behalf of your email address. This is one of the metrics email providers are starting to leverage as they combat spam.

In short, emails that are not sent with an authenticated account or service often experience issues with deliverability. Sometimes they go through, other times they end up in the Spam folder or don’t get delivered at all.

Here’s a short video that nicely explains the?idea of email:?‘What Happens to an Email After You Click “Send”?’

    How to fix it?
The way to resolve these deliverability issues is to configure WordPress to send authenticated emails. Essentially, that means installing and configuring a plugin on your WordPress site that tells it to send emails authenticated instead of?anonymously. This is why I had recommended to install an SMTP plugin previously.

But, if you are still facing issues after installing the SMTP plugin as well, then we need to troubleshoot the issue as it could be site specific issue and the best place to work on it is our WPForms Lite support forum. You can post the issue about email delivery there and our WPForms Lite support team will help you with it.

When you have a moment, could you please share details about the issues you encountered while making forms? Or, was it more of a design issue where you found difficult in creating new forms?
