Thanks NikolaAnne. I did what you suggested but there was no change. Here is a new screen shot. https://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/FireShot-Capture-012-Customize_-LJHS-Class-of_-http___localhost_wordpress_wp-admin_customize.php_.jpg

I would like to eliminate the white space above and below the slide show widget.

Thanks for your help. I tried adding your code but it did not change anything. Maybe I placed the code in the wrong location. This is what “Additional CSS” looks like after adding your code and saving the edit.

I am still confused. I have a PDF called price-list-2-10-2014 and want to replace it with another PDF called price-list-3-11-2015. Based on your last post, this should work but it does not for me.

The image gets replaced and renamed but the links still point to the old image and return a 404. The links that I am hoping will get updated reside two places, in a .png image called “Price List” and in a text area in one of the tabby tabs.

I can understand that there may be a problem in the Tabby area but why do the links not get updated in the .png image? Could it be that links only get updated if they are in a plain text area?

I just thought of something else which could complicating this process. All my pages are created using the WYSWIG plugin PageBuilder by Site Origin. Could that extra layer be causing the problem?

Thanks, I will give that a try. Changing the file name for documents that are regularly updated is the best way to make sure that links point to the correct document. I am hopeful that you will find a way to deal with this at some point.

Under what circumstances can the second option be used successfully?

I don’t understand. I experienced this problem on a number of occasions but the one that concerns me most is the inability to update a price list PDF. The new image and old image are the same size. The only difference is in the text contained in the PDF. The images should be the same size.

Actually, I had to manually update the links in the main body of the page. I left the one in the Downloads Tab unchanged so you could see what the problem looked like. I have since manually updated that link as well.

Tabs are generated by shortcodes produced by a plugin called Tabby.

For me, the problem remains that this plugin does not update links when an image is replaced and the “Replace the file, use new file name and update all links” option is selected.

Too bad, if this worked it would be a huge time saver.

I sure hope that a solution is found soon. As of now, this plugin is not very useful to me. I have reverted to manual image replacements. It takes a lot more time but gets the job done.

Thanks Cais. Actually, I solved the problem in a different way. I do not have Ajax Pagination activated. In fact, I also deactivated “Use ImageBrowser Display as you previously suggested.

My problem turned out to be that Lightbox Effects, (found under “Other Options”) had no option selected. Selecting any of the available Lightbox options returned this plugin to its former functionality on my site.

My guess is that some upgrade removed the entry that I had previously selected for this option and replaced it with “blank”.

    Everything works perfectly now.

Some of the display options can interfere with the lightbox functionality. Make sure that you have Ajax Pagination, hidden image, image browser effect and show slideshow link turned off on each page where you experience the problem.

I had the same problem. I just discovered the solution by accident. Go to “Gallery settings” and then “Other Options”. Click on the down arrow for “Lightbox Effects”. Made sure that one of the Lightbox effects displays in the box. Save and you should be good to go.

Doing this returned my Gallery to the functionality that it had since I started using it a year ago. My guess is that a recent upgrade changed the default for this option to “blank”. If a Lightbox effect is not specified, the slideshow will not display if an individual image is clicked.

Thanks Cais. Doing this gets me back to something that is pretty close to the way this app used to work. The only problem is that the slideshow reloads the entire page whenever a new image is displayed. Is there a way to make the slideshow display in a popup window that is independent of the parent page?

I don’t do anything special. From the moment that I started using this app, it behaved the way I want it to again. I created a gallery and then placed the gallery on one of my pages.

In the past, the gallery would display the thumbnails and when any of the thumbnails was clicked, a slideshow with directional navigation and image labels would pop up. Something has changed. Now, when any of the thumbnails is clicked, only a single larger image of that thumbnail displays with now slideshow or image label.

I need to get back to displaying the slideshow as it was before. Selecting the default option “show as a slideshow” brings back a limited slideshow function without any navigation or image descriptions. This does not meet my needs.

I just want this app to work as before.

There is nothing special in the tabbed panels. I placed a gallery in a different location, not inside any of the tabs and it behaved the same way, the slideshow that used to display when any of the thumbnails was clicked no longer displays. Instead a single, larger version of the thumbnail is shown.

This plugin has worked perfect for almost a year. I noticed the problem after the latest WP update.

The procedure that I follow involves updating a price list on my company’s web site. There are two links on every product page pointing to the price list. You can see a typical page here.
https://www.diamond-safety.com/ultra-tuff/ The links are in the red “Price List” graphic and in the “downloads” tab at the bottom of the page.

I attempted to replace the price lists on this page yesterday. I selected the second options in your app’s dialogue. The pdf document was replaced in the media folder but neither link was updated. I manually updated the link in the red graphic but left the one in the downloads tab unchanged so you could see the broken link.

I can easily work around this bug but it would sure be nice if that feature worked as I am sure you designed it to.

The files that am trying to replace are typically PDF files if that makes a difference.

    Thanks for your help.

Thanks Cais. The problem is occurring on every page of my site where the gallery is being used. Here is an example. https://www.diamond-safety.com/decktop-architectural-tile/

At the bottom of the page is a gallery displaying color options for this particular product. In the past, clicking on any image would open a slideshow which the viewer could navigate by clicking directional links. Now, only a larger version of the thumbnail displays with no slideshow capability.
