Jeremy, I am unable to determine how to contact you via email, as the link above simply takes me to a Jetpack help page. Am I missing something?
Thx Jeremy, I appreciate your willingness to stick with it and communicate with me. Please know I am not mad or stewing in bitterness, but I do not really know what else to do. I have some time this week and on thru Christmas that I could work together with you toward a resolution, so I will email you as requested. Thanks again!
No, this issue has not been resolved, but I get the impression we’re at an impasse. Publicize does indeed work correctly sometimes, but overall it just seems erratic in behavior. One time, it publishes just the title & a WordPress shortened link (my preference) to Facebook & Twitter, another it sends an introductory excerpt with the title & link to Facebook only, and then still at others it sends nothing & I must manually publicize new content using Hootsuite.
Every time I have walked thru the steps to manually disconnect and reconnect each social media site, the problem has been fixed for the next immediate post. After that, though, there is no guarantee that it will stay connected, or ant discernible rhyme or reason to the content that is publicized. At this point, I do not wish to disconnect & reconnect as often as it seems might be necessary, so I’m guessing it’s just a bug that “comes with the territory.”
All 3 connections – Facebook, Twitter, & Linked In – are all marked “shared.” In the past when I have encountered this problem, the only fix that has been suggested has been to disconnect & then reconnect each network connection, which only fixed the problem for the very next post.
I’m in the midst of a post right now that I will schedule to post later tonight, just to ensure the problem still persists.
No, there are no other registered users on my site. I have always been the only publisher and regular user.
These are the last 3 I can remember:
From 11/05/13: Critic’s Math: 1 Insult + 1000 Compliments = 1 Insult
From 11/02/13: An Open Letter from God Concerning Discouragement
From 11/15/13: Criticism Bites by @BrianCBerry #bookreviewYes, Publicize is turned on by default, and is set to send to Facebook, Twitter, and Linked In.
Yep, andybarlowblog.com is the place.
Hi Jeremy,
I do not use any special plug in to schedule posts. In the Dashboard when writing a post, I click on “Publish Immediately – Edit” in the upper right hand corner of the Post Editor & pick a date to schedule, before posting. I’ve tried to schedule my last 4 posts & Publicize hasn’t pushed any of them out to my social networks.

In reply to: Edit the "About Me" section picWPyogi, you’re a genius! I kept looking for a place to upload a pic & never thought about ensuring that my Gravatar email address & the user account email address were the same. I had set up an additional (and unnecessary) level of security for my email address, which I have now removed. Thank you!

In reply to: I Need Pluginswww.remarpro.com requires the installation of .php index files to your web host (Bluehost.com in my case). From there, plug ins are downloaded and dropped into specific directories with an ftp uploader of some sort (Filezilla in my case).
It sounds to me like you’ve signed up for a www.remarpro.com account, but your installation is far from complete. Then again, I’m no expert. Good luck.

In reply to: Archive Page not showing content [Theme Lightword]I’m finding this out in April 2010 – that Lightword STILL has no archive page. I love the theme overall, especially w/my tweaks, but no archives? Seems a little weak to me.

In reply to: Fatal errors when activating plug insThank you samboll for your reply. ??
I had come across this page earlier today, but it does not say where to insert the code from Line 1. Does it matter or can I simply insert it anywhere?

In reply to: Fatal error when activating plug in.Now I’m getting more and more “Allowed memory size…exhausted…” messages for multiple plug ins.
I didn’t realize it, but I had several themes installed to that directory. Thinking things like that & old or unused plug ins might be the culprit, I removed everything from those directories (plug ins and themes) that wasn’t currently in use.
The big question I have now is this: What is the cause of this fatal error and how can I fix it?
