I tried the first fix recommended, deleting the directory (using my control panel and the file manager to just delete the directory) and reinstalling with 4.0 using the WP install plugin utility. Everything works fine. I am fearful about doing 4.1.3. If I update to that and it craps out again, can you provide 4.0 again until latest version is stable.
