I just read here
https://dd32.id.au/2009/02/20/wordpress-filesystem-abstraction-faq/
… that the connection information I’m being asked for is the ftp coordinates for my server. So I entered that info. And it just sits there, “waiting for www.(domain).com… and nothing appears to be happening.
So I’m going to bed and praying there are answers in the morning…
Thanks,

In reply to: [Plugin: Shadowbox JS] Shadowbox-js Will Install Failed – Why?Another note, I wonder if the problem has something to do with the re-direct of the WP directory, so that the root directory would be the WP site. This is what I’ve got in my “General” settings.
?WordPress address (URL) https://www.danacoopermusic.com/wp
Blog address (URL) https://www.danacoopermusic.com
I went through the various hoops I had to go through to get that to work, but is that what’s now causing this problem with the plug-in install?
Is there a “manual” way to install the plug-in instead?
Thanks,

In reply to: Where Is The Font Editor?Hmmm. Possibly another limitation of the theme my client has chosen (some obscure thing called “ModiOne” which seems to have some other limitations that are frustrating me (like pages not showing in the menu under parent, sidebar not cooperating…)
I’ve found the kitchen sink, but when I open it I still don’t see a font selector drop-box or font-size selector.
I would have thought that’s a standard WP feature, not something dependent on the theme. But I’m a newbie re: WP, and learning a lot quickly.

In reply to: Timestamp can’t be changed after upgrading to 2.9Who is this “esmi” person who really doesn’t have any answers but will offer all kinds of wild ass ‘destroy the village in order to save it’ suggestions?
We come here for actual answers. Guessing we can do ourselves.

In reply to: Newbie Question: What Are All These Warnings?OK, I restored a “fresh” version of the wp-includes folder, and all the warnings are STILL there. Now what?

In reply to: Newbie Question: What Are All These Warnings? No, I did not upload from a “fresh” download of WP 2.9.1 because that detail was left out of was not the instruction. I have a separate download on a different computer, do you think that will be “fresh” enough? I hope so, I’m going to try that now.
Thanks,

In reply to: Newbie Question: What Are All These Warnings?OK, I re-uploaded the wp-includes folder, which took like 20 minutes, but the “WordPress Development Blog” is still showing a long list of entries.
I noticed that there is a “configure” link next to the header, so I clicked that, and I selected “2” for the number entries, but I’m still getting dozens of entries.
Likewise “Other wordpress news” is producing dozens of entries, as is the “plugins” column on the left. So, umm…
Now what?
Thanks,
