In reply to: Multiple WordPress Installations but Removing Subdirectory URLHey Keith, thanks a bunch for the response.
Bear with me…
So what you’re saying is if I install it on a subdomain, I would have:
example.com/post-name (original installation)
example.com/category/post-name (installed on the subdomain)is that right?
Wouldn’t the second example above be subdomain.example.com/category/post-name or subdomain.example.com/post-name ?

In reply to: How to Create a “Coming Soon” page?brevityness, you can modify and edit themes in the WordPress admin area under “Appearance” then select “Editor” and you will see in the upper right-hand corner a drop-down box that allows you to modify/edit any themes you have uploaded while keeping the current theme as the front-end. Also, in regards to your initial question you may want to check out this post I did on themes for sites under construction:
9 WordPress Themes for Parked Domains or Websites “Under Construction” and I believe there is only one that asks you to pay to download, the rest are free.

In reply to: Where can I find free cool real estate themes?Mercime’s correct in that any theme can be customized to be geared toward real estate. Although they’re not free, Brian Gardner’s AgentPress and Agent Theme are very nice and Gorilla Themes have several very good ones as well.

the first few on the page are premium themes, but there are over a dozen free ones there as well. Seems the quality of many of the free themes tends to be lacking for the real estate niche.

In reply to: Real Estatesamboll, I appreciate the reference ??
Also, I just recently did a post on some of the premium real estate themes available for those that are looking for support and professional design. They’re all real estate-related as well:

In reply to: WordPress Real EstateContempoinc, that’s a real sharp-looking theme! I like the clean and modern look that it has. It seems that there really aren’t that many professionally-designed themes for real estate.
I was going around trying to find all that I could and ended up compiling them into a post and I was surprised that there aren’t more themes out there.
You can check out what I have found and rounded up on my post (I think it’s one of the most comprehensive for real estate-related themes):

As far as premium themes, it seems that those tend to be a little more polished and professional-looking for a real estate professional.

In reply to: WordPress for Real EstateI agree with Chrisber on the his comment after the initial post about the vertical drop-down navigation instead of a horizontal layout. By having it vertically drop-down you are covering up your vertical menu. Same goes with horizontal menus, you always want those to drop vertically.
